I feel this kid can at least fill David Martin's role from two seasons ago! He was impressive just needs to be consistent once given a chance.
 
Man.. I wish we could've used him more this season. We didn't throw one pass his way after that Bucs game.
 
I don't know if Sperry is gonna be on this team next year . . . personally I like Jimmy Graham coming out of this draft.

But one thing is CLEAR . . . we probably missed David Martin more than any player missing from last years team. Who would have thought that afer his 2007 season. Haynos could not fill the role that David Martin did and Fasano was less effective. We need to resign Fasano and get a pass catching BEAST at TE opposite of him and produce the results at TE that we had in 2008 . . . when we thought we had one of the best TE duos in the league.

I definitely want to see Sperry back in camp and competing for a roster spot. He definitely came in and produced when he could, and I am intrigued with what we have in him.
 
He definitely has the potential to be a great TE for us. Remember, not only did he contribute last year and look great at times, but he is only 1 year removed from a big knee injury. He should have twice as much confidence going into next year. My prediction - we have the pass catching TE we've all wanted and will not need to draft one this year.
 
I liked him last year. He played 1 gmae then gone. I think he could be better as our 3rd TE. So say Fasano, Nalbone and Sperry. I dont see us getting a TE unless we let Fasano walk.
 
Why is anyone high on this guy? He had what 3 catches and now because of him we don't need a new TE in the offseason? People saying they like what they saw from him, and he's that pass catching TE we need... how do you come to that assesment from the handful of plays you've seen him in?

Charger fans really liked him. They thought he was the next Antonio Gates.
