Read this article in my morning Dolphins Extra from the Miami Herald. Didn't see it posted yet, so let's discuss:

Saban stymied until he finds QB

http://esp.realcities.com/a/hBDU1VUAPnpekAPtY$WAQEC3iub/mhdo293

Excerpt:

"Nobody runs on the Tampa Bay defense, so the Dolphins needed someone to throw over it -- someone to win the game, not manage it. Miami's skill-position players, all of them except QB, are considered above-average. They need a thrower's threat to make them better."

Wow lebatard states the obvious, Gus isn't a franchise QB. What insightful views this guy has. He is getting paid for this? I will give him credit on getting that job.

Yeah Dan Lebatard has the answeres! Wonder why he isnt a coach......

I may not always agree with him, but he hit the nail on the head this time. And we need the press to start picking up on the fact that accuracy is critical to our passing attack - and Frerotte has none past 15 yards. Hopefully this is the first of many calls to action by the public to bring about change at the QB position.

Yes, I agree with Lebatard as well... But I think Saban already knew this as well. At this point in the season and this is his first year, he is trying to mold his players into adjusting to his philospophy. He has realized that the most glaring weaknesses for the Dolphins are Quaterbacks, O-lineman, and Cornerbacks, all of which will be eventually resolved given the neccessary time.

Seems we still have the same weaknesses....QB....O-line from season's past and have added corner to the problem.

I actually think it was a good article. It doesnt bash gus but says we need a qb. Good points about us trying to hide Gus but vs good defensive scemed teams like the Bucs it will be hard to do. Bottom line is this team wont win until we have a qb...i think we all knew that all along.

Hmmm.. all the people that agree where the ones here yesterday saying "Feeley deserves a chance" or "Put in Sage"

Cripes!

It's amazing how the (Gus won't get it done) crowd gets larger after each game...maybe one day you'll see the light too.

this is old news. He is not telling us something that we all knew from the begining. Maybe he should be on the boards more often. He could have ran this article before the season started.LOL!

What won't Gus get done? I don't know too many people saying that Gus is a 'Franchise' QB for the dolphins, simply that he's our best option on the roster right now. So far, people on this list include the coaching staff of the Miami Dolphins.

I think everyone agrees that some other solution will need to be explored in the offseason...but this isn't the offseason, and I don't think the Colts will trade Manning for Ricky Williams before the deadline.

When the offseason comes around there will be a scramble for available QBs, I expect Miami to be in that mix.

Gus has gotten worse in every game and unfortunately I think we've already seen him at his best.

You don't really believe that Feeley or Sage had a fair chance...do you? Favoritism has played a large part in the selection of Gus.
