Look on page 124 of the May 27th 2002 issue. A small article talks about how Ricky will fit in Norv's offense, it also features a photo of Ricky Williams from camp.

News about Ex-fin players

Some Panthers officials are so impressed with second-round draft choice DeShaun Foster, they figure the former UCLA tailback will oust Lamar Smith from the starting job by the beginning of the regular season

With a defensive minded coach like Fox, it wont be long before Foster, and his fumbles, will be on the bench. A name to remember in Carolina, a real dark horse, is Joe Montgomery.

Foster will start for sure! He was a Heisman candidate before he stole some goodies. Sure he fumbles occasionally "cough" Ricky Williams "cough," but he's going to be their #1 guy for the next few years. Joe Montgomery?? He couldn't even beat out Dayne for the # 2 spot in NY.

Amazing to think how Lamar has gone so quickly from 40 carries and 209 yards in a playoff game to 3rd string HB for the worst team in the league (at least out of 31) without any issue w/injuries

How many people also thought Cleveland had a lot of talent in 99? Everybody thought they'd be the best expansion team ever. Not the case, they were horrible. i expect the same from Houston, and the Texans will be the first team on the clock next April.

Joe Montgomery hasn't been real healthy Since Ohio State days. Fox loves him and his style, and will give him every opportunity to make plays.

Foster is in a league of his own when it comes to fumbles cough Henry has more than Ricky cough....dude's middle name is "puts the ball on the ground"

Does anybody actually think Montgomory had a realistic shot after all Dayne's rookie hype?

I thik he will be this years suprise runner. IF he stays healthy...
