As bad as it looks, we're still in it in the Division... Buffalo lost (3-4), New England (3-3), and NY Jets (2-5). There is still hope!!

Jets' aren't 2-5 yet

But they aren't going to win tonight, so your point is still very much valid!

Any Given Sunday....

I doubt the Jets win tonight too.... but don't put that hash mark in the loss column until the game is over... ;)

True dat!

The good news is, even if they win, they're 3-4. That would mean two of our division rivals have the same amount of losses as us, and the other has only one less.

As bad as we've played, we're in it!

Well we are, but we very most likely won't win the division this year. If we do, we'll be out the playoffs in the first game. Despite all of that, I'd be extremely happy of even smelling the division this year after last year. Even if this division became mediocre with injuries the important thing is getting some wins and competing this year to build confidence next year when we should have a better overall team, depth and talent wise, so that we can try and take the division.

Exactly... I wouldn't care if we made the Wild Card and got blown out, that would still be a successful season!

WE NEED TO RUN THE BALL, JUST LIKE I'VE BEEN SAYING!! RONNIE WOULD HAVE RAN OVER THE CHIEFS IF HE'D HAD ABOUT 15 MORE CARRIES!!

I believe he would've too. Mabye the coaches will play Ronnie a lot more now. Ecspecially this week when we go against the Saints, their run D is horendous from what I've seen.

you guys are right. And winning the division gives us a lot more levrage in wooing potential free agents, if they see we have potential, they're more likely to come and play here rather than if we were just a flat out bad team. Though i was suprised at what Saban was able to accomplish as far as free agents this past offseason.

This is the trap alot of our players look at like us fans. They need to concentrate on getting first downs first and stop the penalties and play tight ball instead of insisting on going long when it is 2nd and 1 and 3rd and 1. Linehan is unbelievable!

No his point is NOT valid. The Dolphins are not making the playoffs. Please be serioius. The Dolphins post season does not depend on the other teams, it depends on them and they are not good right now.

Blind enthusiasm as a Dolphin fan makes one look kind of uneducated as a football fan.

Would you like some cheese with that....

I am an eternal optimist, thanks for your pessimistic attitude though... Teams have turned things around like this before this season.

The team will go nowhere without a legitimate starting QB. I watched the KC game twice yesterday (Directv and NFL network). It wasn't the blowout that the media portrayed it to be. The defense played poorly, but we all knew KC has one of the best offenses in the NFL.
Just like the Bucs game, the defense is stacking the line and run blitzing. Frerotte has had numerous opportunities to victimize a defense, but he is terribly inaccurate.
The KC game could easily have been tied at halftime with the Fins taking the lead in the 3rd quarter. This is important because game management and play calling depend on the score and what your opponent is doing.
If Frerotte hits big plays in the passing game early on, then the lousy KC defense starts playing the Dolphins more honestly. This would have opened up the running game a little more, helped with TOP and would have kept KC's weak defense off balance. That also would have kept KC's offense off the field (their TOP was an obscene 41 minutes).
I'm not saying the Phins would have necessarily won, but it would have gone down to the wire.

Players know football to, trust me they see what is happening down in Miami and what Saban is trying to accomplish here. I have no doubt that players want to come here and play for one if not the best franchise in the league. Money also has alot to do with there decision maiking as well.:lol:
