Other young defensive players of the future that should also be mentioned are Eddie Moore (probably replaces Seau). Yeremiah Bell(replaces Sammy Knight?, who is a free agent after this year) and Derrick Pope(MLB- perhaps the replacement for Zach Thomas). I don't know that Bua will be a starting LB, as he is only 212 pounds or so. He may be a Larry Izzo special teams type guy. But throw in Poole, Reggie Howard, and we have viable repalcements for half this defense. Also, it shouldn't be tough to re-sign Morlon Greenwood, who is solid. Right there we have 6 potential starters.

Zach is still an animal. zach stays. Seau maybe gone unless he works out a better contract, otherwise, you could see a more solid runstopping D with Pope in with Zach.

Well I hope Moore turns out but I'm not holding my breath. The thing that worries me in our future is we have to draft a QB eventually and this O-line being as good as projected.

Moore had no tackles on Saturday because he wasn't in on defense and we never got to kick off cause we couldn't score. Cut the man a break, just because he made no tackles in one game doesn't mean he can't play linebacker.
I also meant Pope as a replacement for Zach Thomas 2, 3, 4 years down the road.We'll have Pope cheap for four years, no need to rush a 7th rounder into the starting lineup.
