It would be hard to overcome my long time devotion to the NFL but if something like the XFL could pull some legit NFL names and get some top prospects I'd give it a shot about now.

Nah. If this becomes the new norm for the NFL I'm taking 3-4 hours every Sunday back and doing something else w them

You're not getting a premiere product. The NFL is the upper echelon of talent. Only the best play there. Why watch something inferior? College is great because it's the feeder to the NFL.

If the nfl had a minor league I'd watch that, but probably in addition to the nfl.

I'm getting pretty bored watching the NFL and have been doing more on Sundays than just watch the game. Not only is the play lacking, the rules suck, the refs are awful and don't be surprised when you hear something come up regarding the refs ala NBA. Just watching these games makes me angry (not just Dolphins) because how the NFL just is now is kind of pathetic. 2 min of commercial for every 45 seconds of play, can't hit anyone, it's just boring really. There is no unbiased spec/journalists anymore, we have all witnessed that. You'r team could be undefeated yet the Cowboys and Brady will get talked about all day.

I wonder how many other people feel like this...

Sure that would be as successful as the World Football League or later the USFL. Have fun watching!

Out of curiosity, are the majority of Dolphin fans here whiners or is there still real fans around who appreciate the history, organization and realize that instant gratifications only come with your "dumb"phones and Madden? It's been a mess as of late but seriously, we're not the Browns, Lions, etc.

This is such a tired bs quote.

The only thing separating us from the Browns and Lions is that the Dolphins won 2 Super Bowls forty years ago. Well, the Browns and Lions won championships too, back before the merger. The Dolphins haven't even been in an AFC championship game (much less a Super Bowl) since 1992, and they haven't won one since 1984. They haven't even won a divisional playoff game since the first George Bush was in the White House. And the last 10 years, the team's been a dumpster fire. Of course, given the Dolphins' lack of any kind of success in the recent (and not so recent past), it's not surprising that the fans' only consolation is to say, "well, at least we're not Team X."
