Granted this is assuming he is something special. But if he is ready I would rather just have him make a catch or two this weekend and try to break him out vs. New England. The Patriots are known for shutting down one part of a game all together so why tip your hand.Certainly we want to win this week but let's hope Parker isn't a pivotal guy for that. This theory is ala the wildcat a few years ago.

Bill has seen tape on Devante Parker.... I'm sure he knows exactly what type of player he is.
What we need to do is put pressure on Brady all day long and we'll have a great chance to win.

I don't think Parker is going to get as many touches as people think going forward. We are really deep at receiver.. speaking of Patriots, the early 2000's superbowl patriots wr core reminds me of our group. Tons of possession guys.

i dont tihnk we need to save him as much as hope he can get more comfortable with the offense and his route running. right now they can't seem to find too many snaps for him and i hope he performs well against the texans on the snaps he does play to give more more priority against teams moving forward.

You never know how the season will play out. This way they have Jennings and Parker ready if the need should arise.

It would be sweet if we make the playoffs and THEN he shows out.

Kind of like when Seattle got Percy Harvin back from injury a couple of years ago

I want him on the field just as much as everyone else, but bottom line, hes in the slow cooker. Our receivers are playing well, so no big. But I think we all want to see what he can do.

If he can contribute, play him now, no reason to wait. However, if he's still getting up to snuff with the offense, there is zero reason to rush him right now as our WRs are certainly not our weakness.

As much as I support the pick of Parker and will continue to until proven wrong, it is annoying watching Kendricks and Johnson performing quite well already...

The guy missed all of preseason. And just got 100% with the foot. I'm excited to see him and Ajayi in week 8. But until then we are fine.

Parker even with how low he is on the roster, is still matchup nightmare, and especially in the redzone, he gives you another big body to help Ryan if he goes back to pass. Maybe for now he will not get on the field as much as the other more experienced guys, what few opportunities he does get, could go a long way to helping Miami be competitive with everyone and anyone.

I know it bugs people but I'm pretty sure we're playing our best 3 WR's now. Parker will really have to earn his reps. It may seem like we're not playing our most talented option but maybe we are not. I know he missed some time but we're coming up on week 7 now. Anyone think Landry would still not be seeing the field after 7 weeks had he missed camp?

DeVante Parker is a rookie, who missed all of training camp & preseason, and coming off of foot surgery. There's no reason to rush the guy, especially when our starting WRs are playing well.

If anything, just let Tannehill develop chemistry with Kenny Stills, Rishard Matthews, and Jarvis Landry (slot).

Historically, the most explosive NFL passing offenses had set starting WRs, rather than a massive rotation of receivers.

I find it mildly amusing that you think we can just "break him out" as if the moment he gets starting snaps he's a guaranteed 150 yards and 2 TD's.

Nobody should expect that, but a crucial 1st down, or a crucial TD is pretty much a possibility if he is healthy, worst case, he is a decoy that you want to not worry about, yet can't help paying attention to the close to 6'4 215 - 220 pound receiver that can run in the 3.3 range.
