B. McCain - Campbell from player's POV

Brice McCain talks about Campbell and how the team is feeling - probably most insight from a player so far i've seen about the team attitude under campbell. A few points for those that can't watch...

- Players want to run through a brick wall for Campbell
- The mood around here is totally different - everybody is "so excited". It's fresh
- He's always thinking about the players
- Don't be afraid to make a mistake - we can play free and "ball out"
- At the end of the day it's up to the players
- It's a new season
- we were uptight the first few games. If we can relax we'll make alot more plays.

This is true, that said, you can tell McCain is pumped. Landry on the other hand seemed more like what you are talking about....I kinda the feeling he's still deciding what he thinks of all this, which makes sense seeing as they haven't played a game yet.

True. Landry's been playing hard every game, so to him it must be weird having everyone around him all of the sudden feeling "more pumped." He's probably wondering why more ppl didn't play hard for Joe regardless.

But read the body language, McCain in particular. You could see the relief on his face when asked about Campbell, and talking about playing free without worry leads me to believe that maybe the Defense was playing overly cautious due to either Coyle or Philbin or both. He looked and spoke like a weight was lifted.

I think players have to be held accountable as well... They are professionals too.. At what point do we blame the players? the talent? The effort?

Players had lousy things to say about Joe and his staff in the past. People just chose to ignore them.
