I know there are strong feelings about this, but I gotta say signing a guy like Kap as a back up would be a great plan, and I would hands down feel more comfortable with him than any of our other options. I know there is a zero % chance as I think the team would rather not manage the circus that he will bring (which in my opinion is not Kap’s fault), but I gotta say that it is unthinkable from a talent perspective that he is not at the very least, a back up in this league.... I have a lot of respect for that dude as he lost his career trying to bring awareness and action to a very important cause

it doesnt even matter. cutler last year and our stable of backups this year are so bad they make tannehill look good. ryan taking that next step is our only chance this year. any backup we have now or would bring in off the street later seem irrelevant to me. tannehill or bust in 2018.

and our stable of backups this year are so bad they make tannehill look good.

So basically 2 out of 3 of our stable of backups were starters for different teams, drafted by different GM's and got positive reviews by different scouts. They are the reason Tannehill is looking good?

I don't understand your reasoning.... Please explain!!!!

smh

Another interpretation is that Tannehill looks good because...

Tannehill is good. Not sure why every effing thread gets derailed by this.

Regarding Kap, Elway just said that Kap turned down a contract offer from the Broncos a while back. Seems to me that he’s more interested in pursuing his lawsuit than actually playing, but who knows.

David Fales is your backup qb week one.

Might want to actually read the article to learn the context in which that occurred. Kap was still on the 49ers roster and Elway was willing to trade for him if Kap was willing to reduce his salary he was under contract for from $11.9 mil to $7 mil.

as long as thill17 stay health you can hide Fales on bench. I see us having qb problems in 2 to 3 yr down road..but if thill17 get hurt Espn and sport talk is going talk trash about our Gm and Head Coach. real bad?

7 million better than nothing. But I’m sure you’ll find a positive in that.

I am definitely interested in aquiring talent that will help our team win. If Kaps desire is about winning football and he is willing to put his entire focus in that effort then as the owner or coach of the phins then I take him on. Now if its a point of aquiring talent for my team and that talent comes with a agenda that could become a distraction for the entire team then I would think long and hard and probably try to get by with a less desirable option.
