Backup QB

Do you really think that is a Valid reason?

It is worth noting that with two QB's with a cultural background in common it would be reasonable to suspect they may understand each other better than without that common cultural background.

This could help two people work with each other more effectively in a competitive arena. It could also be the source for mutual trust, or mistrust. It is certainly worth noting.

I wonder what those two guys would think about it?

We disagree here. Vet backups are frequently said to be mentoring the young guy. Giving tips on the sideline. Looking at video. Numerous rookies have noted the help they get from the vet. Use any preferred term, but vets mentor the youngster.

I don't disagree so much as I see it in a slightly different light. The backup QB is part of the QB room during training and part of the real time game analysis in terms of identifying what is happening on the field during the game.

You can call this mentoring, but I look at it more as positional teamwork.
