How many of you caught the first episode of the Rock's new show, "Ballers" on HBO tonight? There was a short but funny cameo by Coach Shula and Csonka. Shula told one of the main characters, "You are an a$$hole."

The Rock plays a former Dolphins player and Peter Berg plays the current Miami coach.

Watching it now. Good to see coach Shula and Larry for a minute

Can't wait to watch it eventually, but I dont have HBO so that may be awhile

Just watched True Detective 1st episode of 2nd season. First season was awesome but I couldn't connect all the dots on tonights show. Gonna watch Ballers in a bit. I have it on Tivo.

Its not bad. It is essentially Entourage in the sports world and more from the agent's point of view instead of the client's. The Rock is pretty solid in the show. The other characters need to be fleshed out a little more but it has promise.

I had to rewind several times when Shula said that. It was hysterical and the best part of the show. Episode was ok otherwise.

Series seems rather pointless and hollow. Hopefully it finds a purpose soon or even The Rock can't save it.

First episodes are always kinda strange. Right now none of the characters are really likeable outside of Dwayne Johnson's. Seeing Peter Berg as the coach is a little weird too only b/c I think of him as Dennis Byrd.

It was cool to see Sun Life Stadium getting renovated though. Brings reality to the show.

You forgot to mention that the trouble kid also landed a deal with the Dolphins...I also thought it was funny the shot of Sun Life Stadium they got, was when the seats were being torn out earlier this year.

Which makes me wonder, are they going to show actual football? If so, the stadium obviously wouldn't be ready for that (not that they'd be allowed to be filmed playing there anyway).
