that seems to be one of the most logical mock drafts i've seen.

I'll even go one better,

#33, Oakland Raiders. C, USC, Ryan Kalil.
 
Im not going to shout from the rooftops if we take Branch. He may be a solid DT and with our aging DT's i suppose its a need but with our pick so high this yr i would be a little disappointed. I'd rather get Landry to be honest or even Hall to boost our defensive backfield.

The worst is us taking Branch. I'm all set with an out of shape and lazy DT with the #9 overall pick. :shakeno:
 
If we take Branch that would suck. I'm not impressed with him. There are about 20 other guys I would take before Alan.

Agreed. Workouts have sucked. His motor and heart questioned. I would not be happy with him at 9. At least take a guy that will leave his heart on the field.

I don't think the Raiders will go for a center at that point. I know they drafted Jake Grove pretty early about 2 years ago. Not sure how he's doing though.


Also, this mock might not be too bad because it would give us a great opportunity to trade down. He has Peterson going to the Texans at 10. So we would be a logical spot to trade to if people want Peterson. At the very least we could try to get a pick out of the Texans to swap spots. Much like the Vivkings did to us a few years back for Carey.
 
Boy, I know that we don't need any help at RB whatsoever but I would screech like a school girl if we got Peterson at #9. The best teams in this league dont draft by need but by BPA and don't forget that that was exactly the case when Randy Mueller drafted RB Deuce McAllister when they already had Ricky in NO. What did the Saints end up getting out of this? Two future first round picks.:wink: If anything, it would give us an outstanding shot at trading down if Peterson was still on the board.
