Miami on paper has just a good a chance as anyone to make it to the playoffs this year and maybe deep into the playoffs. We haven't had this kind of talent on our Roster that I can ever remember. Gonna be an interesting season! If we don't make it to the playoffs this will be Philbins last year as Head coach and I will finally say it's his fault and he needs to go. But any coach needs time to build a Team the way they want it! That's why I have always defended him. Not this year. I am exited and expect a lot of wins at least 11...

Final thought is we need a kicke badly.

if we get hit with the injury plague I will puke...

dont see see it coming but things happen..

Well so far no injuries or suspensions. (f*** dion jordan)

Everyday i go online someone somewhere is getting suspended and then things like dante fowler happen. Other than Dion jordan everything has been smooth. Im not so worried about devante's foot even though i know some of you guys are, its not un-reasonable.

Knock on wood everybody.

Go phins baby, this is our year boys.

If we sign OG Evan Mathis, and if we stay relatively healthy, then I say we make a playoff run.

What has me excited is the AFC East is wide open. The Phins, Bills and Jets got better, especially on defense, while I feel the Patriots have lost some key players, and maybe a four game suspension for Brady, depending on what happens with Goodell and any appeal or court decision.

I think 11 wins is realistic, but we need a good start. I have two worries, our O-line especially the Guard position, and Caleb Sturgis' inconsistency and injuries. He seems to injure his groin all the time.....do some squats and stretches for God's sake. :chuckle: Philbin better win and get us to the playoffs, or else.

I honestly think the play of the LB's may hold us back. Just don't feel like there are any difference makers at that position.

Jenkins proved last year that he is a playmaker at the Wlb. Misi also did a decent job his first year at Mlb. Slb is a concern of mine.

Our DL will help our LB core get better and our secondary.

Agree 100%

By far the worst part about the NFL season is seeing all the injuries that occur to promising players (not just on the Dolphins). Injuries are by far my least favorite part of football. A roster never looks like it did when you compare December to August.

With our proposed starting guards, I have major concerns. Get Mathis, and we instantly improve the O Line by a large margin

assuming we stay healthy, my concern on this team is this:

assuming the lack of depth and talent at LB, does the weakness at G dis-allow us to score enough points to make up that deficiency on D?

People keep saying oline, lb, etc . . . . the greatest thing to make this team make a jump is directly related to the QB taking the next step. It's by far the most important aspect of this teams improvement. Finishing ball games, continued improvements presnap which will aid in taking less sacks inspite of the offensive line, continued improvements on the deep ball, continued improvement on ball placement, continued usage of athletic ability/running ability, etc.

It's certainly not all on him, but these type of steps forward for Ryan will have the greatest impact on the football team . . . certainly could use better oline play, LB play, run d, etc as well and will make these areas better.

Jelani Jenkins ....

Also Suh Will let them roam a little more

I think we are better and should be in the playoff hunt, but guard and depth in the O-line is a major factor still! If Albert can't come back or is hurt again, we are in the same mess. LB depth and corner are still question marks too. Suh will help the last two for sure! That being said, we were a couple of defensive stops late in games from making the playoffs last year, and we are a better team this year! Suh was huge, but I think Cameron is huge for us as well. I see a high 60 catch 10 plus TD season for him if he stays healthy.
