Barry Bonds might not be donating items to Hall

If they arent going to let him in because of rumors of steroids I wouldnt give them anything either.

If he wants to keep the balls (assuming he even is able to get them back) I have no problem with that, those should be his to keep as long as he lives and given to the hall after he dies.

This quote really says a lot about Bonds though:

"I'm not worried about the Hall," the San Francisco slugger said during a recent homer drought. "I take care of me."

co-sign.

baseball doesn't want to have anything to do with him. selig won't even be there when he breaks the record. i don't blame him.

He hasnt and never will be the record holder so anything he does as far as "breaking records" isnt valid anyway. Therefore the ball he will hit "756" with is just another ball anyway. So I hope bonds cant even sell that garbage on ebay for a buck. Hes every bit as bad as the 1920 black sox scandal; the difference between fixing and cheating isnt that different in my eyes.

I would take the #756 homer ball (if I caught it) and make a video of it being flushed down the toilet, just for Barry.

He should give to the HOF when he inducted in. Seriously has he even been caught of anything. Im pretty sure many that are in the hof have used some kind of performance enhancing drugs.

No offense bro but I cant agree with any of this; its purely speculatory and hypothetical. This isnt personal but the view you expressed is about to set me off....

But, if and when that was the case, and those people are quoted as saying "I thought it was flaxseed oil" by the national media like Barroid was, in reference to "the clear and the cream" and whatever else he took, and then endited for perjury by a grand jury then they can get out of sports and the HOF, as well.

The whole essence of athletics is winning because you trained to be the best, not winning because you could hide the truth or cheat to be great. It has no place, and to recognize it regardless of how much we like the player or dont like the player is to set an awful precedent and example for future generations. That goes whether its a player I cant stomach like Barroid or whether its a player I love to watch like it was when LT, Doc Gooden, and Daryl Strawberry all got caught using illegal garbage.

It doesnt matter if the drug is not barred in the sport or not, its illegal. The legal system has authority over MLB's governing body and time and time again has had to interfere (see: Free agency/Curt Flood, any labor strike, any gambling in baseball etc) because MLB could not and still cannot police itself. By any count the Legal system > MLB governing body.

It doesnt matter that Steroids dont aid in bettering the hand eye coordination that one needs to hit a baseball. These players already have the hand eyes coordination needed to hit a baseball. It matters that they're illegal. It matters that they make you stronger (unless youre a complete putz or too lazy to work out) and that if you have enough hand eye coordination to hit a baseball in the first place, well now that baseball you hit can now travel further because youre stronger then you were before. Instead of being a double off the wall the ball is in mccovey cove.

I wish there was a way to see how many Giant fans would still accept this kind of garbage if it were any Dodger using steroids, because the only people I ever hear defending Bonds are Giant fans. If it were a Brave or Philly using juice to beat the mets Id be steamed and Im sure the reverse is true.

I love it. Everyone in the media rips the guy 24/7, then when he thumbs his nose at everyone, the public is shocked!!

He doesn't have to donate anything to anything. I'm not gonna defend the guy and his actions, but on THIS ISSUE, he is within his right.

Because he will donate the items, the HALL will put it in some glass case with a full wall write-up of how he did steroids and his records are meaningless. Why should he "HELP" them do that!!!!!!!
