• The thing we keep hearing from inside the Dolphins locker-room, including from players who privately complained about Joe Philbin: There’s a different vibe with Adam Gase. Players like his energy and how he communicates with them.

Dan Campbell had a lot of that too, but Gase has the critical bonus of being a skilled play-caller and quarterback mentor.

“I like the fact he's confident, he's calm, very smart, knows what he's doing,” said Jelani Jenkins (who, for the record, never complained about Philbin). “Those are the first impressions. Seems like he's 80 years old coaching with how smart he is, how much he knows about the game.”

I have been telling y'all this is the real change Miami needs and got with Gase and crew. These guys all get along they had a plan and the stuck with that plan. Just watch as everything else will fall in to place like Leremy Tunsil. Pun intended!

Thumbs up for the pun, lol.

Seriously, the difference in football acumen and football communication/relationships (between Philbin and Gase) is already glaringly apparent.

It may not translate in wins right away, due to schedule factors and roster deprivation, but the arrow us pointing up for the first time in a long time.

Hopefully they can overcome the weight of Tannenbaum dragging them down, lol.

Which is one of my big worries if Gase is really good then Tannabaum gets to stick around probably dragging us down for the next few years and or Gase gets fed up and leaves himself. Not a great scene no matter how you slice it.

And here lies the problem.

It's not IF t-scum will screw the pooch, its WHEN!!

the key will be how he reacts to adversity and how that is expressed to the players. two games on the road to start the season will tell us a lot

Every new coach is the same. "We love his energy, it's a different pace" blah blah. I just wanna win man..

I just want to win as well, but i am not convinced that the D will hold. Please tell me I am missing something ?

I think that's the major concern. I do feel that the offense has a chance to take a legitimate step forward, which will help the defense. But Miami needs some positive and unexpected good things to happen on the defensive side. Kiko Alonso staying healthy for 16 games would be a good start.

For the first time Ross got the guy he wanted. No leftovers. Hopefully it pays off and with his age if it does, Gase could be here a very long time. The franchise desperately needs that stability.

blah blah blah that's all I can hear until I see it for myself.

Yep. Hopefully Gase can get us another 5 to 6 points per game offensively. The offensive line will be key here.

Hopefully Kiko remains healthy all year, Jelani goes back to 2014 form, and Mario, Cam, and Suh have monster years.

I also hope that Vance can get us an additional 5 to 10 turnovers per year.

Pay Gase to stay if he turns us around.

I had no faith in Wanny, Philbin, or Sparano. Jimmy was a short timer....hopefully, Gase sticks around.
