About not wanted to play for a fan base that actively roots for their team to lose so they can get him. Does anyone envision a possible Eli Manning situation where he refuses to play for us if we get in a position to draft him and like Manning he tries to force a trade?

If he is that kind of guy we might be better off with out him. And I bet the Giants would rather have Rivers than Eli now...

He better demand a trade to the Pats, Pittsburg, Ravens, or Pakers then because all the bad teams fans are in the SFL derby.

I think this is a greater concern than whether he is coming out or not (which is of high certainty), though it still doesn't concern me that much. Maybe I'm just naive, but Andrew Luck seems like a pretty good kid. You don't go to Stanford just to play football. You go for the challenge. Hopefully he would see the challenge in Miami and turn it into opportunity.

Luck will not demand a trade. Simply because we will love him if we draft him. He will realize the fans will be ecstatic to have him.

Took the words out of my mouth. If he was serious about that (which he wasn't) then his only other option is to retire, because the reality of the situation is that he's going to be coveted like that whether he likes it or not.

They would rather have a guy who never went to the big game instead of a Super Bowl MVP?

Didn't the Broncos get Elway that way? I think they were happy with it.

if we get the top pick and you pass cause you're afraid he won't play for you...well thats par for the course around here...i'd tell his representation straight up if you plan on playing andrew in 2012 it will be in aqua and orange or nothing else...and let the chips fall where they may

Dolphins fans have been very vocal about "Suck For Luck". Wouldn't surprise me at all if he refuses to come here.

I seriously doubt it. We're no worse than any other crappy team this year. Look at the Colts. Their friggin' owner is tweeting about sucking for Luck. That's much worse than a couple of disgruntled fans on a message board.

Even if he doesn't want to play for miami the 1st pick will be worth about 3 1st rd picks in a trade. The dolphins would be in good shape either way. Take him or trade the pick and get Landry Jones. Its been a REALLY long time since the first pick in the draft was worth this much. I'm not rooting for the dolphins to get Luck, I'm rooting for them to get the first pick because it is worth so much. Sacrifice one season to set the team up for the next 10-12 years.

Doesn't the NFL still have exclusive draft right's in the new cba? If it like its been in the past after you where drafted you became that team property. And you couldn't reenter the draft.

Screw him if he doesnt want to be here. We will be in a position to around the top pick next year. If we dont get him, then we will get A franchise qb. If we pass on a first round qb next year, these suits in power are stupid stupid stupid.
