BC's Matt Ryan could be No.1 pick?

BC's Matt Ryan could be No.1 pick?

Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan and Michigan tackle Jake Long share the same representation, and the Dolphins so far have inquired far more about Ryan, although we are cautioned not to draw any conclusions. The Dolphins requested a private interview with Ryan after BC's March 18 Pro Day. -- Miami Herald
 
Scratch Jake Long off the list. And then there were three.

Love it. All the signs point to Ryan. Ireland flat out saying the QB position would be addressed at the Senior Bowl, Parcells ordering tapes of all the passes (yes I know he denied it lol), the rumor from PFW that they will try to get him sigend to a contract before the draft and now this. Perfect. Cant wait

OR the phins are building him up.. so they make a deal What do you think?
 
Yep. Matt Ryan is the pick. Thus why JT wants out...because he realizes we are rebuilding with taking a rookie QB. But its the best pick long term for the team. we need a franchise QB, that Beck is not.
 
Its all a smoke screen. Ill put all my money that its Chris Long and Flacco in the 2nd. :up:

If Matt the pick.... what do you think the phins do with Beck? since Josh M is signed for two years Could beck be traded on draft day
 
If Matt is the pick. Then id hope we get James Hardy and Dan Connor in the 2nd

John Beck wouldn't be traded at least until next offseason. Even if Matt Ryan is picked, Beck still might have a chance to pull a Derek Anderson which would put us in a tough situation.

I think our strategy is going to be draft Ryan and listen to offers afterwards. But if we dont get a killer deal 1st, 2nd and something else we keep him

Unless its the Ravens and Cameron. That's the only team I could see trading with
 
Yea i could see that aswell. Im not sold on Matt Ryan myself id rather go with Chris Long but if the Falcons want him that bad they will prob draft Chris Long and we do a swap for an extra 2nd or somthing.

Or all signs may point to a smoke screen.

Nothing is ever certain when it comes to the draft.
 
There is no way Parcells is taking Ryan #1, im sorry. Its all a smokescreen. I just read somewhere, I forgot where, that Atlanta really wants to trade up to #1 for Ryan. Not to mention how obvious it is that Atlanta wants Ryan. They get rid of Harrington and Leftwich are only left with Redman, I mean come on?

Didnt you just read Fishypete's post above. They're looking at Brohm also. Additonally, Harrington may be resigned at a lower cap hit very soon. Add the fact the coach comes from Jacksonville and Atlanta has zero Defensive Tackles and Dorsey is much more likely for them

Its certainly possible but their GM comes from New England and is more prone to find QBs in later rounds
