That has been the case whenever Finfans wanted the backup to replace the starter ex Brian Griese, AJ feeley, Ray Lucas (he looked good before he started playing like ***) etc. They all screwed up and Finfans were dying to get Fielder back,(except in Feeleys case). So my point is that the second sage ****s up, you are gonna be calling for his head, and Ill be here saying I told ya so.
Gus blows bigtime but he is sadly the best we have right now.

I want Gus to play better. That is all Im saying. We need better play out of our QB. No matter if its Gus, Sage or Lemon. A QB needs to hit the open WRs.

I don't think Gus can play better. He's tried for how many weeks and he's gotten progressively worse each week. He can't hit any open receiver unless it's Welker who never draws any coverage.

It's time for someone else to take a shot.

  • Whooee.... just total crap!

I know what Gus can't do, I want to see what Rosenfels can do. I don't know if Rosenfels will be better. But would like to see if Sage can be better than the 28th rated passer in the NFL.

Would it kill all of you to have Sage start and play the whole game against the NO Saints or maybe the week after this? Lets see what he can do? I don't think we have that much to lose. He could be like Earl Morrall when Bob Griese got hurt?? But we will never know if Sage doesn't get to play.

Some of you youngins are probably saying Earl who? ;)

Here's my thinking. Put Sage out there and see what he can do. If the Dolphins lose, so what? They probably would have lost if Gus were out there anyway. And if they win, and Sage plays well, then things could get interesting.

Anyone who thinks that starting Sage or Lemon will be the cure-all answer for our woes is not thinking smartly. That said, Gus just isn't getting the job done and hasn't been this entire season...maybe a change will be good...???

heh... he was about MY age when he was out there during the undefeated season....

Of course with Csonka,Morris,Kiick...we didn't need him to do much...;)

I don't think anyone is thinking that Sage or Lemon(who won't take a snap this season unless both quarterbacks are hurt) is any better i say this because neither one has really gotten to show what they have. What we all want to see is do they have the skills to play as a starter or do they just stink like Gus. Were just saying lets see what they can do.

we have 10 more games right? there is plenty of time to see sage be the starter down the stretch.....

Go watch a practice, in the meantime, you wait for Saban to be convinced that anyone other than Gus would improve the offense's performance.
