I was so happy 2 years ago when we hired Nick Saban. I like many of you thought this is the guy who will bring the Dolphins back. The first year going 9-7 led me to believe we were on the right track. I traveled down to south Florida this season for the Titans game. At that time I was still optimistic about this season. I attended Saban's radio coaches show and actually got to meet him. He came up shook my hand let me have a picture with him. He seemed very geniune and nice.
Since then and the season has played out. It is very apparent, he cannot accept responsibility for his failure to turn this team around. He had a owner who believed in him more than he believed in himself. He had Dolfans who had faith in him and were willing to keep him after a 6-10 season. But his ego is to big. When it got tough, his first losing season, he quits and runs from a job he wasn't man enough to finish. The man is a Coaching fraud. He surrounds himself with the best coaches available and becomes the little dictator. He was in charge of operations, but still he blames others for the teams failures.
The last few weeks of the season we all got to see the real Nick Saban. I just couldn't believe the guy who preached optimizium and accountability was lying to my face. As all of you I felt betrayed as a fan of this team. But the Miami Dolphins are alot bigger than Nick Saban. It's time to move on an I am glad we found out now rather than later.
Wayne your a great owner and way to nice a man. I hope these Coaches who will be interviewed in the coming days understand what a privilege it would be to work for you and this organization. This team will rise again. Go Dolphins!
