Beasley said he and RB Ronnie Brown have "hit it off." "I didn't realize Ronnie was such a fan of mine," Beasley said. "When I met him, he started talking to me about all these things I had accomplished at Auburn and in the NFL. I'm looking forward to playing beside him."

That's pretty good news. Having a Pro Bowl FB on the same page and paving the path will sure help Ronnie rack up the yards. Heck, Beasley made a decent RB out of Kevan Barlow so he should have no problem with Brown.

That is good to hear.I can't wait to see the combo of Beasley and Brown on the field.:dolphins:

Ya' know, when people talk about our big off-season, you rarely see Beasley's name in the equation. But I think a good full back is almost a necessity in today's game. We found a gem of one and to see that he and Ronnie are getting along so well is fabulous news!

B & B should make the running game the Dolphin's Bread & Butter.

How about Beasley and the Beast?

EDIT: I thought you meant nick name, nevermind. But still, I think it's catchy.

It's amazing to see what a good FB can do for a runner. Terrelle Smith did wonders for Deuce in New Orleans and has helped turn around the running game here in Cleveland.

It's good to know that we have another player like Beasley who knows what it takes to have a Pro Bowl season like he had in 2003. He was widely regarded to be the best blocking fullback in the NFL in 2002 and 2003.

After reading that story, it sounds like Beasley is ready to prove that he's still as good as he ever was. I bet getting a fresh start in a new city with a well coached team like the Dolphins will get him back to playing at the high levels he had with the 49ers in 2002 and 2003.

I bet 6'0' 245 lb. Beasley is going to be blasting some big holes for Ronnie and the other running backs this season ...and racking up some good yardage for himself. He's yet another variable that Mularkey could use to keep other defenses guessing. They know he can block but they won't be expecting him to get the ball. I bet he's a load to bring down kind of like Bettis.

I bet he's going to try to get in the best physical shape he's ever been in this summer. In addition to being closer to Alabama, I bet he's glad to have some guys with similar backgrounds to train with and hang out with. He probably feels at home already with the Auburn guys on the team like Ronnie, Jeno, and Devin. It's always good to have a team where everyone's gellin' as they get ready to go into battle together.

Beasley hasn't been what he once was. He showed signs of noticable decline in SF. Still, there are worse fallback choices than this guy. There's a good chance Beasley will indeed feel rejuvinated here in Miami. Tends to happen with a change of scenery. Also seems to happen playing in Miami, for coach Saban. His run-ins with the SF staff have been documented.

Still, our #1 target was Mack Strong, who chose to stay put in Seattle. Now THAT would have been awesome.

Yes, i have a few friends who are very strong niners fans, and they loved beasly, but admitted he'd been slipping in his play for some time now. Maybe it's age, but hopefully its just cause he was on a losing team with nothing to fight for, hopefully.

I agree with you, but fullbacks aren't normally used as they used to be or sought after much either. I think he will be a great addition and not just for blocking.
