Beat jets we're 4-1 in december

If we get help from bengals or chargers I wouldn't call that "backing in to the playoffs or "we don't deserve to get in." Yea we laid an egg yesterday but whether we lost 21-20 or 62-7 or 19-0 it still counts as only 1 loss. Still got a realistic shot at playoffs and that's all that matters right now.
 
Which of the 4 remaining teams does "deserve it"? The Ravens got whooped at hone and SD/Pittsburgh lost critical games early,Including to us, to put them in there current position. Point is all 4 teams deserve what they get.

The notion of "backing in to the playoffs" is silly anyway. It means nothing once you're in the tournament.
 
Another thing to consider is tannehill getting some playoff experience under his belt. So whether you think we deserve to make the playoffs or not, and even if we lose 30-0 in the wild card game, that will be good for his development.
 
Winning four of last five in the season...how in the hell is that backing in. Guess the Giants backed in when they won. Baltimore backed in last year...so..yes please..I want us to back in and win the Super Bowl.

I know, that term IS silly. Hell, I'd rather "back" into the playoffs than for our off season to start early. We get into the tournament...then who knows...
 
Hell, remember the Seahawks 7-9 "backing in?" They balled out when they got in.
 
Nothng wrong with "backing in" but being 4 and 1 in december doesn't mean much if you suck the rest of the year. It's your overall record that counts. A loss in November is still a lose.

they won one game, a home game.

There is no such thing as backing in, you either win the required # of games and get in or you don't. if you make it you will have earned it. Things change so fast week to week in this league, yesterday was a debacle for you but can quickly be forgotten this coming week.

And that one home game helped their fanbase come alive along with developing the franchise. That was a critical win.
 
Excellent point. Today is classic overreaction Monday after an ugly, ugly, loss. But if we win on Sun & get help, & percentages are that we will, then nobody cares about getting swept by Buff. AM not apologizing for 9-7 & a playoff berth.
 
am it's so nice to read a thread from someone who actually knows what actually going on this time of year. We lost one game....bounce back and let's get the W! Dammit I'm as pissed as the next guy but there's one more game left to go. Take care of what we gotta do and hope Cincy beats the ravens. Get in the tourny and let's roll!
 
when I left the ralph yesterday, they were giving me crap about not making playoffs......then got back to the truck and tuned in bspn to find out Baltimore ravens getting the treatment.....were still in it. :)
