I feel like this season has been a success. Sure we could have more wins. However, with all the injuries we have had our season has been successful. We have lost a lot of close games to elite teams, which tells me that we are almost at the top. Our schedule was by far the hardest of all the teams. Being able to win half of those games, in my eyes, is a success. What is more impressive is that we have not gotten blown away in any game this year. Sure there were several games were we may not be satisfied with the outcome of ,but to be in all of our games tells me that we have improved from last year.
I hate when people make the comparison between this year and last year and say that we were better last year because we made the playoffs and had a better record. I do not understand how this point can be made. First of all the opponents we played this year were much tougher. One team starting the season 13-0 and the other 14-0. In both games we gave them a run for their money. We fought hard. A few less mistakes or blatantly bad officiating calls and we win those games and several others. Sure we could of done things better but to end up at around an .500 % is a success. We have dealt with a lot of problems and still were able to contend. That is exactly what I like to see from my ball club.
Now on to the upcoming game. I hope that we can win against the Steelers. I feel like we have a good shot. It would be a big win for us. I hate when I hear fans hoping for us to lose this game. I really do not understand that attitude at all. We are still in the playoff hunt. Sure our chances are slim but it could still happen. Winning this game would be great. Not only because I do not like the steelers, but because winning this game would give us confidence going into the offseason. We had a great season, at least I feel so, and very excited for how we do next season.
