I think the Phins will have a leg up on anyother team trying to get SD FA. As well as an immediate trading partner for draft if needed. It is a similar situation with the Bills last year.

This could help bring that "it" back to the organization. Cause this year it may seem like some FA accept other jobs, and that might be because of the what has happened in MIA in the last couple years. That could scare of potential FA and make you dish mega money to get them.

Now that being said with a hire of a coach that it seemed like a majority of the coachless teams wanted, you bring back some of that influence to potential FA.

From a Bills Fans perspective this was a great signing by you all. And the first REAL HC this team has had since Shula.

Thanks, it's good to see other's outside our group think he's a good hire. Hopefully, it'll help to restore the AFC EAst into a shootout division again where everyone has a shot at it.

Its nice to have a fan from another team that isnt here just to trash us, anyway I think he was a good hire. I wanted Gailey but after the press conference Cam completely changed my mind, Im glad he was the choice.

I think Dielman could follow. I want to see us make a strong push for Shaun Phillips for the defense. He's spent his career as an OLB in the 3-4, but as guys like Roosevelt Colvin showed while in Chicago, 3-4 OLBs can be pretty good in 4-3s as well.

If we could somehow get Phillips, I think we solve our blitzing problem at OLB (Plus he can get his revenge on the Pats twice a year:evil: )

I hope NO Dielman because I really want him in Buffalo. Good thing is we do have more cap room.

San Diego players could come here? Oh goodie goodie...

lets see...can i get a Phillip Rivers with a side of Donnie Edwards and Lorenzo Neal after?

ill be fair...we'll give u Joey, Spragan, and Darien Barnes in return.

Spragan and Barnes I am disappointed in. We cut Beasley in favor of Barnes and DB was a none factor all year (and wasn't even that good of a blocking back). I don't think I remember Spragan doing anything of significance for us this year (his replacement Sedrick Hodge didn't make the team, and Keth Newman did nothing. We should've just started Pope).

Donnie Edwards is actually a possibility. They tried to trade him before the season, but couldn't find a taker, and many Charger fans think he could be on his way out.

But if we want to be serious about guys we could get from SD, here are their FAs

Michael Turner RB (RFA, would cost us alot of money, or we'd have to trade for him)
Ryan Krause TE (already got Peele who knows Cam's offense)
Kris Dielman OG (Played for Cam at IU, very likely)
Leander Jordan OG (backup)
Ryon Bingham DT (backup, never heard of him)
Shaun Phillips OLB/DE (would cost us a hefty penny, maybe a draft pick)
Carlos Polk OLB/DE (basically a cheaper version of Phillips)

that's pretty much it.

whoops, forgot a few...

Matt Wilhelm ILB (RFA, and I think he stays. They've been grooming him to become a starter)
Randall Godfrey ILB (I'm pretty sure he's retiring, but don't quote me on that)
Corey Withrow C (Nick Hardwick's back up)
Leander Jordan OG (another backup)

Matt Wilhelm ILB hes already been Inked to a contract.

Shaun Phillips will be getting resigned.

Edwards will be gone unless he takes a paycut.

Dielman wants Steve Hutchison money which is why the contract talks broke down. if he will get resigned who knows.

Godfrey is still up in the air what happens with him.
