i just watched some videos on youtube regarding John Beck and Ginn and i dono how ppl arent excited to have these 2 together. esp beck. there are a lot of videos up on youtube of Beck now as oppose to before the one against wyoming is agood and a few others. He has great field awareness and always looks to throw downfield and deep. I think he had more passing TDs to our WR in preseason and reg season then our other losers combined lollll. its agood sign for once to see a deep ball and if u notice all the deep balls were perfect location just the WR couldnt make a play (hagan mainly all the time). We need some O line help big time to give him time and some WR help. Wilford should help tremendously wiht his size

I guess I'm not excited because I've seen them both play.

You have seen them both play for a 1-15 team. What do you expect out of their first years. Both those positions usually take 3 years to get use to before you can expect big things.

It didn't matter what either of them did last year anyways, its not like our D could stop anyone.

I noticed Ginn had quite a few patterns where he was wide open, only for Cleo to dump it off for a 2 yard gain.

Beck played in 5 games, so 5 out of what 48 that it usually takes. Yet people already want to call him a bust. Fin fans are getting sad.

If at the end of 3 years of Beck being around he has still not gotten any better, then we can call him a bust. But to call for that now is sad, and not to mention stupid.

I am really looking forward to seeing Ginn play this season, especially with a real Special Teams unit in front of him.

And Beck is going to takes some lumps this yr, it takes time for a Qb to develop in the NFL, I want to see that 4.7 speed and arm from the Combine last year, we really didn't really see that last season.

And I can't wait to see Lorenzo Booker for a whole season, I want to see if he really is "The Poor Man's Reggie Bush".

Sooooo then it must be easy for you to also understand how someone who's seen Ryan play (in an even easier venue than the NFL), not being too excited about drafting him in the top 10, let alone as the first pick?

Im excited about Ginns speed and Becks accuracy.

However, im still not sure how its going to pan out on gameday.

If they are so good, why is Muelller gone? Does that say Parcells wants to take credit for Mueller's good draft?

Beck played in 4 games why didn't he get it to Ginn often?

Dont be surprised if Beck gets buried on the roster. Especially if we draft Ryan. Sometimes when you have major changes to a franchise such as we have, players tagged as "the other coaches" get let go, or buried.

The ? was how excited are you about Ginn and Beck. right now i'm waiting to be excited, lets hope they give us something to be excited about.

Well they weren't Probowlers in their first year trying so obviousily their busts. Oh well, luckily there's always another draft, let's go DeShawn Jackson and Matt Ryan this year and see what happens. If they suck we can try again in 2009, cross your fingers!

Nice and pointlessly sarcastic. The fact is, Ginn showed a lot of promise in his rookie year. Not enough promise to justify where he was taken in the draft, but enough that I am happy he's part of the team. Beck has shown nothing. He may wind up being a good QB, but there's certainly no reason to be excited about him until he demonstrates that he's capable of being a starting NFL QB.
