This is what it comes down to. If we took Quinn in the first, we would have grabbed Jarrett in the 2nd. The second combo sounds way better, but maybe they (management) actually know what they're doing.

Randy Mueller is a damn good GM and I'd like to think that he knows better than I do.

After what happened yesterday, I highly doubt that. A twelve year old kid would know that Quinn-Jarrett combo is better than Beck-Ginn.

I to believe in the front office also and the Beck/Ginn combo sounds more appealing to me when I think about things. We have a Jarrett type player in Hagan already and need that burner guy to open things up for our running game and Chambers.

Yeah, I'm quite sure he wasn't voted as executive of the year for nothing. In two years when Charlie Frye is still starting with the Browns and Quinn is holding a clipboard and Beck to Ginn, Hagens, or Chambers for a touchdown becomes a common phrase, I'll think back to the boo's we heard yesterday and shake my head at how all those "ARMCHAIR GM's" supposedly knew better than a former executive of the year in the NFL. When the best thing that Phil Simms, Bill Walsh, and Marc Trestman can say about Brady Quinn is that he looks "GREAT UNTIL HE THROWS THE BALL" that's NOT a compliment. I trust Shey, Mueller, Cam, Simms, Trestman, AND WALSH, who had a couple of pretty good QB's himself.

Yeah because that twelve year old kid is a psychic which can see in the future and knows more than Cam Cameron what he needs for his own frigging offense more than Cam Cameron himself. Darn you people are lame as heck!

exactly.. a 12yr old just go for hype. The heat fans were pissed when we drafted WADE, because he had no hype. Ginn has more upside than Jarrett and Beck is safer than Quinn. We all watched the same 2 channels yesterday and they all agreed that if you are an okay QB in ND, you will be overhyped. We did not over pay people. The Browns really overpaid, Then again, that is why they are THE BROWNS.

Once you factor in the HEAP of money we're saving not having to pay a top 10 pick as well as the #2 QB in the draft.... it doesn't sound so bad.

I'm sure he know better than most of us...

I'm pretty sure him, Cam and their HUGE staff of scouts and coaches know better than ALL of us.

Quinn/Jarrett does sound like the sexier picks . . . but we would have paid Quinn 50 million dare I say . . . while Beck is going to get maybe a 10th of that . . . thats a bargain in my eyes. Also Ginn is going to have a huge impact as a returner, brings the needed speed to this offense and should step in immediately as a flanker and allow Chambers to move to the slot along w/ Derek Hagan on the other side (my guess is Booker is gone). Jarrett would have been a nice receiver but he just isn't fast enough to improve this offense like Ginn can . . . plus the return game is a big reason as well.

So, even tho I like Quinn more than Beck . . . I like Ginn over Jarrett much more . . . and @ the price Miami will be paying Beck . . . I just don't see that big of a difference between him and Quinn. I think in the end . . . Miami did good for themselves.

Since you are so smart, and probably a 12 year old kid, why dont you tell me why you think a Quinn/Jarrett combo is better than a Beck/Ginn combo. Try answering that question without answered you have heard from "experts" like Mel Kiper. Ive brought this question up to several people here, most wont even respond, none cant answer it cause they cant. No one can say anything other than its a better pick cause they are better players. Thats what you are claiming...prove it.

I've done a complete 180 and now prefer Beck/Ginn *in this system*. Quinn/Jarett may well be better in another system.

 at you people. You act like Muller would have drafted Jarret. Besides Beck is a more complete QB.

A KR/PR and #3 WR and a 25 year old rookie vs. a solid WR and a Franchise QB - I think they dropped the ball BIG TIME!

At least someone around here gets it. I'm begining to think everyone else would have bought into them drafting Troy Smith in the first and said how great a pick it was.

Wait and see.... Give the guys a break, al least until TC. When you think of the speed of Ginn Jr and the accuracy of Beck at least you have to be willing to see ´em on the field.
