Beck Or Chambliss

I have no problem taking a late-round gamble on Chambliss, assuming we avoid QB in the prime rounds this year. He flashes some impressive off-script skills and he has a great arm. He has also thrown some pinpoint intermediate-to-deep balls. We all love a QB that can create when the play breaks down, and you can see it with him.

Our QB room is currently pretty barren. If we are lucky, we could have 5 picks from the 4th through 7th rounds. No harm in doing something similar to the Ewers pick last year.

In a previous post, I said he reminds me of Jalen Hurts. He’s seems to be good in the clutch like Hurts has become.

I would rather swing at someone like Allar if were going to gamble day 2 or 3.

Excited to see how the new GM runs the draft
I like Allar a lot. I know several on here don't, but I would grab him on day 2-3 and not even hesitate.

Physical potential is all there. Lacking it between the ears. He's a project, so if you take him and think you can fix him, you could hit....but i say there's a high chance he busts.

Beck is a game manager and veteran QB who can win a championship on a good team. He steps up in big moments usually and had a fantastic win-loss record, but I don't think he's anything more than a JAG in the NFL. I don't think he's a franchise NFL QB. His accuracy is too inconsistent and he throws too many picks at times. He's very streaky.

I'd look at Chambliss for a late round pick because at that point who cares if those kind of guys pan out? There is nothing to lose. Like if Ewers is the guy, we got him in the 7th round and got a steal with no risk.

Beck doesnt have great stats but he has very good game awareness. He win games.
I would take Beck over Chambliss as a game manager style QB

Yes. Doesn’t have the same size. But has the off-script and the arm.
I can see that. I think people are sleeping on this kid. He has tools to work with. His size isn’t a deal breaker for me. Especially because you wouldn’t be investing a premium draft asset to acquire him.
