Just wanted to see what the consensus here is on this board...

I personally would like to keep Beck and let him develop.

Stay, i dont see why we cant develop a Bench QB with Henne starting in the future instead of keeping McCown and him and penny leaving later and finding another qb for the bench, iv heard becks not doing well now but neither is mccown but beck has potential to be good.

keep. McCown has no upside. Dont wanna give up picks or get in a bidding war for Simms. Nobody else out there. Give him another year, then at least social security will kick in ;)

Keep Him, He has Talent, Needs Time to Develop is my vote. I would not be suprised if a trade is in the works though.

I'd like to Miami keep Beck, but I read a comment by Sparono in the Sun-Sentinel today where he said a back-up should be a veteran that dosen't need much time to get ready. That doesn't sound good for Beck. I'm not buying the part where he says the Fins have the room to keep 4 QBs.

Keep unless we can get something decent for him via trade (which I doubt.) Drop Mccown.

I've been a Beck supporter since we drafted him but i'm realizing Henne is most likely in the future plans, and Pennington will be at the helm until he's ready. And i'm perfectly cool with that.

Exactly Kud, We will end up keeping him for that fact only, I think Mccown will be easier to move then Beck, But I am a big Beck fan and would love to see him later on get a shot and prove everyone wrong, maybe naming pennington as a starter will be the best thing that ever happen to beck.

Aaaah almost forgot to add, I dont buy this whole "we are keeping 4 Qb's thing".
Not Happening.

Exactly.....and added to all that is the fact that Beck is a leftover castoff from the Camoron/Mule-er (as in jackass) debacle and not a Parcells FO pick, he's as good as gone unless he really outshines McCown....which doesn't sound like is happening now.

I think his days are numbered, Henne is a better prospect and Mccown would be better to put in a game situation to still have a chance to win imo.

Why should he stay, there are places where he can end up playing sooner then later, I don't think he's going to ever get anymore playing time here with Chad and Chad here. I hate to say that, because he's not a bad QB, but Henne seems like he's got great stuff and a hell of an arm, and Pennington is going to work as the starter until Henne is ready. If we trade him, we can get some kinda value back for him and move on.

I said stay, but it's up to a combinationn of Beck and the FO at this point. They're not going to take an internets poll seriously like Cam. Beck has got to want to stay, he's got to play like he wants to stay, they have to want to keep him and they're responsible for giving him his shot. We'll find out at some point.

I don't think either of those choices is the correct answer. We can only assume Beck has some RAW QB talent that has yet to be developed, otherwise he wouldn't have been such a highly touted QB in the draft last year. Until we know for sure what he can give us, i fail to see the reason you get rid of him.

I just wonder what kind 'if any' vlaue he has on the market right now... I think the decision is made for us until that situation changes... He will be on our roster at the very least until another team becomes desperate.
