Let's be realistic. What do we do next if we don't sign Arrington? Do we go after someone else in FA or do we wait for the draft?:cooldude:

we sign some nice FA that are good not great and don't cost a ton like Sam Adams and we have money to spend after June 1st cuts

well if we dont get arrington i believe sam adams talks rise, and so do O-lineman talks, back-up QB talks also rise quite a bit....the draft will either be a safety or a LB in the first round in my opinion...

I actually think that Tommy Polley is a very interesting option at OLB that has gotten zero attention thus far. He was solid for the Ravens.

Hes always been a solid player. A lot like a Morlon Greenwood, but id say less consistent, and more explosive. I may be wrong, but isnt Polley a little slender?

He is 6'3, 230 and has only been in the league 6 years (out of Florida State), so he fits the youth movement Nick is going with.

I wouldnt say he is like Morlon, as I dont think Morlon had one INT, sack or FF in all his years here. Polley had 4 sacks last year, and 4 INTs a couple years ago.

ive always like him, hold on ill call nick up and tell him to to at him

pick up tommy polley? u guys crazy? he's tiny, we've already filled our quota of tiny lbs.

i say we draft a lb...in the 4th round. with a deep lb draft, a few guys with second round talent will end up dropping further than they should, it can be done.

i say we shoulda signed sam adams long time ago, and tell arrington he better lower his salary requests by 50%. we still need to sign a backup qb but all that's left out there is garbage.

do the rest in the draft and get ready for the season.

zach thomas is 5'11" and 228. so either this guy is really 6'3" and 230, which would mean he's useless in run d, or he's actually closer to 6'0" 230, a la zach. either way, he's tiny.

I say draft Manny Lawson for OLB and get some else in free agency to fill another hole.
