...that Garrard could be Moore's backup? What do you think?
What I believe that if Tannehill is there at 8, he's the pick.
He knows our system, has a big arm and is very talented.
But he is very raw, he needs to sit for a year and learn everything our guys can teach before the 2013 season.
That's one reason I believe it was only a one year deal.
...that if moore gets injured, we have a potentially capable back up qb on the ready.
That's a solid reason to draft, in the late rounds, huge OL men -- not just to protect Moore, but to open holes for Bush.
There is no way David Garrard wins the starting job. He might be given a chance to "win" the job but I just can't see him doing it.
He's 34. He didn't play at all last season. That's a huge deal in the NFL. You can't take years off like that and just step back in unless you're some kind of freak athlete. David Garrard is not that kind of player. Matt Moore has the momentum going into camp.
Wouldn't surprise me at all if David Garrard doesn't make it to the 53 man roster.
One year deal means just that. He probably wont be back in 2013. Moore & either Tannehill or a qb next year (top 8 pick) will be the qb's in 2013. The FO knows that they have missed on RG, Luck, Manning & Flynn. I hope they dont think that Smith from San Fran is the answer. I dont want him in Miami as I dont think he is better than Moore.
