To all the disappointed fans, it wouldn't hurt to hear some kind words about the team from Belichik. No mention of the offense, of course, but he gives props for Taylor and defense on 1st and 3rd downs. Belichik always gives credit to teams before playing the Pats. This way he keeps his team focused on beating even the bad teams. Never the less, it is good to hear.

"Defensively, it looks like they’ve kind of transitioned a little bit to more of a 4-3 defense, playing [Jason] Taylor a lot down, and rushing him. He’s having a tremendous year, I have to think he’s the defensive MVP"

“It’s a very good team on first down defensively. They’re very good on third down."

Playing the Patriots has always been a confidence booster the week leading up to the game, and a confidence destroyer the week after the game.

Bill Belichick talks up EVERY team. He goes into specifically what they do that is so special, etc.

So the fans always get a nice boost of confidence heading into the games and then feel like crap when they beat you.

:chuckle:

Well, Belichek always says this is their toughest game because of the problems our defense creates. It has to be somewhat justified considering Brady always struggles against us...

True, but he doesn't usually say that a player deserves to be MVP.

He was on coffee with the coach on monday and he has mentioned before that taylor is MVP type player. He also went looking for this LB [maimi spl team / backup guy] after the game in foxboro and was talking to him for a bit.

*********Its going to be tough
Tom Brady faces a defense that traditionally plays him as tough as any in the league, especially there. Not including last year's season finale in Foxborough -- in which Brady played sparingly -- he is 7-3 as a starter against the Dolphins, with all three losses coming in Miami.

Brady has made five starts in Miami and his career numbers look like this: 92 of 149 for 1,055 yards, 9 touchdowns, 8 interceptions. In his first start in Miami, which came in 2001 in his second NFL start, Brady was held to 86 yards passing. That marks the second-lowest total of his career, just in front of a 76-yard effort against the Dolphins at Gillette Stadium in 2004. And in the other game against the Dolphins in 2004, Brady tossed four interceptions in a 29-28 loss
Overall, the Patriots have played 40 games against the Dolphins in Miami and have only one winning streak of two or more games , winning four straight from 1986-88 (one playoff game included).

I really felt with games agains the Vikings and particularly the Jags we didn't do well on 3rd down.

Bad teams, don't win 4 games in a row.

And Good teams don't lose 5 out od 6!

Comparing Nick Saban to Wannstedt in your siggy? That will bring you a TON of credibilty.

I don't need the points so I won't express my opinion.

The guy has had that sig for awhile now. Nothing new.

I think we're horrible on third down, it's 1st and 2nd that we're solid on and then teams pass on us.
