Bell is our BEST blitzer/playmaker on Defense followed by JT. Bell is a better "SLB" blitzer then any LB we have on our team and he doesnt even play LB. He looks just a tad smaller then ZT loll. Anyways, when your number 1 blitzer/playmaker is a second stringer, that says enough about your defense.

YOU HAVE NO PLAYMAKERS!!!!

If it wasn't for JT and Bell, i think we would NEVER create turnovers, especially fumbles or pressure on the QB as much that becomes affective.

Our defense is old and dosen't make the plays that the elite defenses make. They play well but they don't play dominant. San Diego is a type of defense that is dominant and you can see the difference between the defenses which is young talent.

Is Bell so unbelievably bad in coverage that we cant get him on the field as a starter? He's made 10 times as many plays as the starting safeties.. well you cant multiply 0 but you know what i mean..

In that sense...He should be starting over Either Tillman or Hill...Take your pick..I have liked him and have been saying he should be staring ever since he got here!

I was just thinking about this. It seems like Bell makes some plays in limited action yet the only time I see Hill or Tillman is coming over late and making a tackle. I agree our defense hasn't been dominant but it is adequate. If our offense could give then 20 points to work with we'd probably be 4-1 right now. I have a hard time criticizing the defense when the offense is averaging12.2 points per game. Not to mention we had 2 performances of holding our opponents to 171 total yards and 213 (yesterdat) total yards. I today's league of offense those are great defensive games.

Bell seems to be a playmaker, don't understand why he's not starting. Our defense is playing decently this season, if they could just stop with the long PI penalties that kill us.

Agree. They are neither fast nor aggressive nor physically dominant at the point of attack. I think they work hard and the interior OL tends to stand up well against the run, but there is not a penetrating power that other teams have.
