Impending free agent S Yeremiah Bell indicated following Sunday's playoff loss that he hopes to re-sign with Miami in the offseason.
An enforcer, Bell led the Fins in tackles and chipped in 11 pass breakups while playing on a one-year deal in 2008. "It would be very difficult for me to walk away from this," he said. "I really couldn’t dream of going anywhere."

rotoworld.

Yay! Lock him up, he deserves it!

We need him locked up... Now that he has had an injury free season and proved his worth to this defense (and team) he has proved he deserves it. Get it done!

read that, too.. Bell is very important to this defense and I really hope that we re-sign him..
and it is good to hear that he is so commited to the team and that he reall wants to stay:up:

Himself and Goodman deserve new contracts.

Secondary improved as the season went and I think those two had alot to do with it.

Outside of Pennington I'd be hard pressed to find a bigger reason for our turnaround this year. Losing him in the opener last year absolutely destroyed our defense. It is a totally different unit when he is out there.

He definitely needs to be resigned. Can you imagine Bell with another playmaker back there and some playmakers at LB? Damn!

This is great to hear, I hope we can lock him up long term. He's the most underrated guy on our D, and he finally made it without any injuries

The loyalty is refreshing, especially in today's NFL - he deserves to be rewarded with a decent contract. He's one of the few guys on D that seems to love hitting.

Just for reference, the franchise tag for Bell would be:

Safety $4.396 million
