Home to both two Universal owned theme parks and the four Disney World parks, Orlando is one of the biggest tourist cities in the world. Adding a regular season home game in this city would give Miami a chance to expand their product around the world with the potential amount of tourists that could witness the game.
The Dolphins use of Orlando would also benefit their current fanbase in many ways. With some of the teams fans living to the more northern part of the state, a potential regular season game in Orlando would give them a much closer opportunity to see their beloved Miami Dolphins.

Overall, there are almost no negatives for this type of move for the Miami Dolphins. It would give the team an opportunity to both expand their fanbase while also give their current fans a close place to see them play rather than have the team travel to Mexico or England. Hopefully this continues to develop into something more to not only serve current Dolphins fans, but future ones as well.

There are two NFL teams that are closer to this Orlando stadium than Miami is . . . Wouldn't it make more sense for those folks to make that drive than pitting that on the Miami fanbase to make that 4 hour trip? They would have to cut ticket prices for that game . . . Because who in the hell wants to drive up there, attempt to tailgate and drive back? Trust me I did it once for a Jags game and it was a long, tiring day in the end.

Before they think of expanding the fan base how about winning the fans back down here first. And why Orlando? They are competing with Jags and Bucs.

Orlando since the early 70's is primarily a Dolphin town. Many people who live here relocated from south Florida. A Dolphin home game in Orlando would sell out quickly.
There are some Bucs fans, but very few Jags fans. Proximity means little.
When I drive to work I often see Dolphin license plate frames or license plates and rarely see Bucs and don't recall ever seeing a Jags license plate.

There is a huge Dolphin fan base in central Florida...I'm one of them.

Some forget there are a lot of Dolphin fans in this area from long before the Jaguars and even the Buccaneers.

Orlando is definitely a dolphin town. Has been my whole life. Will do nothing but help expand the brand and give the central florida fin fans a reason to not jump off the bandwagon and root for a relevant team. Smart move.

Nobody is saying Orlando doesn't have its fair share of Dolfans . . . But logisticslly speaking, there are two teams that are much closer to the area.

The point of doing something like this is not to appease the local Orlando fanbase . . . It is to attract more international interest due to the amount of international visitors the area gets.

Thwre are two closer fan bases that make more sense here due to their proximity.

No one in orlando gives 2 ****s about the jags or bucs. Never will.

Exactly what we both said - expand the brand.

Maybe an away game every odd year and a home game every even year.. why cant we get more instead of give up more home games

I just left Orlando and I swear every bar had Dolphin **** everywhere and nothing of any other team..Maybe a few Pats things but its Florida...Plenty of transplants..

Moving a game there would be huge for the city and the team IMO..

Again...you forget the history of the NFL in Florida...the Dolphins were Florida's team when I was I was growing up in Clearwater.

The I-4 corrider has a huge Dolphin fan base...mix in the international appeal of the combo of Orlando theme parks, Busch Gardens and the beaches of Pinellas county and it would be a huge draw.

I would be there for sure, and I know many others that would.

I don't like the idea of seven home games in Miami and one some place else regardless of if it's in Orlando or London. I think it gives the other AFC East teams an advantage. It's not like Miami played well last season, but it sure didn't help that Miami only had three divisional home games and the Jets only had three on the road. The only way I would be good with it would be if each of the other NFL teams played one home game in a non-affiliated city as well. I might like the idea of two weeks where the league took the games to cities that don't normally get to see the NFL. Take the game to Oklahoma, Nebraska, Nevada, South Carolina, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Japan, England and other places. Maybe even let the people in Cleveland see a real NFL game (joking :tongue:).

I love this idea, and not because I grew up in Orlando. I've been in ATL the last 15 years, and the drive to Orlando is much more feasible for me. I hope this happens.

I'm sure Ross would love giving up his gate and concessions profits after spending all that money on his upgraded stadium
