Bennie is an RFA, and I have no idea if we're interested in him. Here's the interesting part--eventhough he's an RFA, he would require no compensation from us if we signed him. All the Ravens have is the ability to match the offer.

No. The transition tag is applied to Unrestricted FA's. Bennie is a RFA, but he was an UDFA out of college, and Baltimore tendered him at the lowest amt. Therefore, they can match an offer, but won't receive any compensation. If noone bids on him, he'll receive the tender offer this year and become an UFA next year.

NP. It's just a thought. I haven't heard his name mentioned, so I have no idea if there's interest from the phins. He was impressive when I watched him last year, though. Strong run-blocking RG. Just what we need.
