The 28-year-old LeCharles Bentley, who has been to the Pro Bowl at center and guard, is not expected to be unemployed long. Bentley insists he is healthy, ready to play, ready to return to his Pro Bowl level. If he is, Bently is going to make some team very happy. Almost every team in the league has a need for interior offensive linemen, particularly Arizona, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Miami, Oakland and Pittsburgh. Bentley would prefer to play guard, but could play center just as easily

would make this line so solid if he is healthy . . . however not at a high price . . . because we still need to extend Carey . . . n we have several guard prospects plus we have McKinney, who is not Bentley . . . but is making a low salary and is a good veteran presence on this line

if he is anygood i wouldnt mind taking a look at him we need another guard for the left side of the line

No the other Thread said Bently released lets sign him. This thread has a solid link stating we may be interested. I know for a fact Tuna told Salguero that he maybe interested in a G/C type player when they did the interview. Let me see if I can find the quote.

that looks like a solid line to me,and i'm pretty sure Ricky,Ronnie,Jalen, and whomever else runs behind that line will greatly enjoy it...plus i'm also sure that Beck,McCown,or Henne, whoever's gonna be our QB will greatly enjoy that kind of protection.

The only negative about Bentley is that his speed is down. When the Browns asked to run the forty, it was somewhere in the 7's. If Tony can turn Leonard Davis around Im sure he can find some place for Bently

Bentley, if healthy, can be a NASTY SOB!!! I remember him w-NOrleans, impossible to move!

If he can back to form! that would be great! this is nice, very nice. This team oline would start to look legit if we added him. I was sick and tired of what previous Front Office did to Hudson Houck by giving him a bunch of nobody's to work with.
