I think Brock Berlin looked like the best QB for bein a rookie! The bad throw at the end made me wanna jump through the tv but other than that he had some good throws. My buddy who's a Raider fan was watchin and even he thought Berlin looked good. What do you guys think?

Oh and by the way Ricky looked like a high school runningback out there. I know he had a year off but c'mon, he looked friggin scared out there.

Rickys just a lil rusty. Rbs is a very skill position and it may take a lil time for him to see everything like he used to and cut like he used to. But its like a riding a bike soon he will be racing again. Berlin looked real good I think. That last pass was to bad but he was reminding me of the game against florida two years back when he drove Um down the field to win. Frank gore ran it in.

Yeah, he looked good against a bunch of guys who will be selling cars by September.
:shakeno:

Very true but i just thought he looked like he was very poised for a rookie. I hope he could make a start for us sometime in the future just to see what he can do.

Berlin was okay. You must remember, that Berlin played against TOP competition in UM- so the adjustment to the NFL wouldnt be as bad as some of the other QBs. He is still very undersized, and lacks skill- but he still looked better than Feeley, which is pretty bad.

I thought Berlin looked decent as well but what about Klye Orton, he looked really good I wish we would have picked him up.

i think berlin could be a great player he just needs some serious one on one couching during this season and then maybe next year or later down the road he could get better. we have a great team this year we just need to get things rolling which is why im glad we have four preseason games to play.

While they're "COUCHING" who holds the remote....lol.....sorry bro, had to do it!

Does anyone remember berlin from UM? really remember him. Showing flashes of brilliance, yet so inconsistent you never knew what he was doing. sounds alot like.............oh feeley. They can't make the throw they are supposed to make, yet they make the throws they shouldn't.

Berlin didn't look bad....he just looked like a rookie. There may be potential there.

Again though like anything else if people don't like him they will say....he sucks and be done...

I hope he surprises.

Was it me, or when the ball was snapped to Brock the ball kind of floated? It wasn't a direct snap, it took to long to get to him. So he actually had less time to throw the ball.

I was most impressed with Berlin's arm strength. He was firing passes in there like he was Brett Favre. The receivers couldn't handle them, and it wasn't because of poor throws, it was because they were coming in on a rope. I was very impressed with that part of his game!

I noticed that also. Kinda like a popup in baseball. The question is why did they call the same play back to back. The db that got hung up on the previous completion was going to adjust and we went back to the same play. My memory was that we had some time and 1 more timeout. why not run k-jay he was looking like he had found his groove.
