Bess and Henne go way back..SI article

I'm still pissed at Bess for fumbling away that 'stake in the heart' drive against the still undefeated Saints.

Great article but thats not from SI its a Dolphin beat writer for the Miami Herald.

If we had a true #1 receiver, we could move Bess to the slot and he would be unstoppable.

Hi guys,

I like this guy Bess, specially when he breaks the first tackle. His burst of speed is mighty impressive! He would've made a GREAT CFLer at the slotback position. Just my 2 cents.

He's already pretty tough to stop. Everyone and their mother knows on third down we're going to him, but he gets open and makes the catch. It's not like we have no talent at WR. We've got a bunch of WRs that would make good #2s or slot guys, but no true #1.

I loved those double moves Bess used against the Pats, were he runs across the field then changes direction and the ball is thrown on time.....no way to defend it and it's one of Welker best moves.....I'm glad we use it and hopefully we will use more of what Welker does in the future.

Great read! The chemistry between Henne and Bess is obvious even not considering how they met before they were even Fins and without reading the article. Bess is the ultimate overachiever but he gets results. He has his limitations but plays within himself. The guy is a winner and is willing to sacrifice and work hard to accomplish his goals.

Birds of the same flock fly together. Henne is of the same ilk in regards to attitude and work ethic. But not as much as an overachiever as he is an achiever that is gradually learning - matching his God-given physical attributes with his mental development. Give us a true number one along with Bess and Henne and the passing game has a future.
