Best blocking TE in the draft.

The gold at the end of the rainbow is finding the TE who can block and is a threat in the passing game.

Might be as hard to find as a franchise QB at this point with the way college football is being played.

Tyler Warren fits the bill but do you want to take a TE that high?

Generally I say no but it will depend on what the board looks like.If there is an impact pass rusher(Mike Green, Jalon Walker), CB(Will Johnson) or OL(Campbell/Simmons/Banks) I would have to pass on the TE.

But I would love to add Warren to the Offense, especially if they ship out Tyreek and need to run a more traditional scheme.

12 personnel with Jonnu Smith and Warren out there with Achane and Waddle intrigues me.

With a functional OL of course.

Was Brock Bowers worth the number 13 pick in last years draft?
The point is that he was great and his team was still terrible.

How much impact can a TE(even an excellent one)have on the outcome of games?

If there is no legit player at a more impactful position at #13 I would look to trade back, but if there is not a good offer I would go with Warren over a lesser "Premium" position because a TE like Warren would be such a great fit with Tua, and he would help with run blocking.

With Miami running zone blocking about 75% of the time (one of the highest percentages in the NFL), I would say the TE role is elevated on our team, more than it would be on most other teams. TE is a critical role on zone runs, especially outside zones, which McDaniel is fond of. So I do not believe pick 13 is too high for a TE, but at that spot you need a complete TE, not a situational TE.

I don’t believe Grier could pass on Will Johnson.

If he slid to #13 you would have to take him he is a legit #1 CB.

The only way that happens would be over concerns about his injury so it is very unlikely and you would be gambling on the knee.
