Who is the best corner in the 2009 NFL draft in your opinion? I went with Alphoso Smith

i went with Jenkins...but i think if we get a CB within the first 3 rds..it'll be either DJ Moore or Victor Harris

It's gotta be jenkins. to me he is definately the superior prospect.

he will be long gone by the time we pick though, so if we want a CB, we better figure out a way to land macho.

I said Jenkins, but I really like Sean Smith from Utah as well.

It's certainly not Victor Harris. I went with Jenkins, but I really liked the way Alphonso Smith played this season.

I see that Jenkins is winning this poll in a landslide (which I assumed would happen), but my personal feeling is that Jenkins is a little overated.

He is top 5 or 10 in any mock draft I have seen, but I think he falls to the late teen to early 20's come draft day.

My reason is because the only thing he will wow you with is straight line speed and good size. He is not very sudden and he is not as strong as some experts right now think he is (he won't bench 225lbs more then 8 times I guarnartee it and 8 times is even giving him a lot of credit). This will hurt him trying to jam recievers at the line.

I am not trying to bash Malcom Jenkins by any means, he is a 1st round prospect, but I think he drops on some boards a little come draft day.

The ONLY thing not to like about Alphonso Smith is his height, which will drop him on some boards as well, but he is excellent in every part of his game. Playing man, instincts, ball skills, supporting the run, strength for his size, confidence, experience, sudden, fluid hips, speed, return skills. The guy makes big a play in every game to some degree.

I actually like vontae davis, but jenkins is probably better.

I wish davis would fall to us though, but the most I have seen him falling is to somewhere around 19 in most mocks.

.

I agree with this 100% and is why I voted Alphonso as the best CB this year. Watching him this week in the Senior Bowl practices really made me like what he brings to the table (except him being short at barely 5'10.

as talented as the shorter guys are, I just really want the CB to be taller.

need somebody who can roll with moss and bat down them jumpballs in the endzone.

smith is certainly a high caliber player though.

same here...i want our CB's to be able to match up better with the Moss's,A. Johnson's,etc...all the taller receivers who gave our Corners fits this past season...
