threads have been weak as of late and i was watching NFL net and they were doing the 10 best TE's in NFL history.
Im a younger guy and it made me start thinking who is the best TE in dolphin history?
I havent got the chance to see many great or good ones for that matter.. thoughts?

Boy..I already now lots of people are going to say Kieth Jackson......Personally, I loved Bruce Hardy. I also Liked Ferrel Edmunds. I don't know what the hell happened to that guy, but, he flashed absolute brilliance, then, just went in the ****ter. TE is one of my favorite positions on the field, and, I've got to say.....Fasano is gaining lots of love from me.

This makes me think of Jim Jenson, but I know he was more of an h-back....so probably keith jackson. Not a very rich TE history with the fins

Also, Joe Rose

Even though he only played a few years and he liked to smack his wife around, Randy McMichael is the Fins' all-time leading TE in terms of receiving yards. Hardy has the most TDs with 25... Mandich has 23.

Definitely Bruce Hardy. He was good at all aspects of the position. At the time, we had him, Joe Rose, and Ronnie Lee. Lee was a great blocker, like an extra lineman, Rose was a great receiving threat, while Hardy was the all around guy. Keith Jackson was a great talent, but he was more flash than substance. He dropped a lot of passes and made more than his share of bonehead plays.

And don't under-estimate Jim Mandich. Those early 70's teams didn't throw much, so he didn't put up the numbers, but he was a quality player. He won 4 Super Bowl rings, including his 2 with the Steelers. It's a little known fact that the two TE on the '72 undefeated team combined to win 8 Super Bowl rings. Marv Fleming won two with Green Bay before winning two with us.

Ditto...plus Joe Rose and Dan Johnson...a three headed tight-end
system that Danny Boy used to his advantage.
