I know some people hate this kinda thing but its fun and I haven't seen anyone else brave it yet so here goes - as of right now I think this is how we kick-off the 08/09 season:

OFFENCE

QB Beck McCown Henne

RB Brown Williams Parmele
FB Mauia

WR Ginn Hagan Bess
WR Wilford Perry
TE Fasano Martin Ryan

LT Long Fabini
LG Smiley Mormino
C Satele Darilek
RG Murphy Thomas
RT Carey Wilson

DEFENCE

RDE Starks Wright. R
NT Ferguson Soliai Dotson
LDE Langford Holliday Denney

OLB Porter Anderson
MLB Ayodele Torbor
MLB Crowder Pop*****
OLB Taylor Merling

CB Allen Daniels
CB Lehan Jones
FS Allen Crocker Hill
SS BellDavis

SPECIAL TEAMS

K Feely
P Fields
KR Perry Bess
PR Perry Bess
LS Denney

Notes

Roth -traded or cut
A. Wright - stashed on PS
Fabini - picked up for depth
Grigsby - cut - offers very little other than ST - Pop***** can play
Mauia - given second chance, Trifecta cannot ignore his rare size & speed
Hilliard - stashed on PS for if (when) Ronnie or Ricky go down
Hill - hybrid CB/FS - (was a decent corner for OAK as I recall)

Keyshawn may come into this at the expense of Camarillo

So much more could and will happen. I'd like to move Taylor for a corner (L. Sheppard (how bout Taylor, Roth & a pick next year?)

Shoot me down now :d-day:

3 new starters on the D line, very nice. I like the Merling pick because he can fill in for a tired OLB or DE and that way we keep a fresh rotation. And wow, our OLINE seems like they will be a good group, hopefully they live up to the potential!

Grigsby - purely ST but will be listed as an LB

if anyone is cut it will be Vonnie Holliday for future cap purposes, Ted Ginn will get his share of returns.

Im not gonna shoot you down, that was very well thought out! I like it. One thing....didnt Fabini sign an extension....I maybe wrong, just a question

Didn't the Redskins re-sign Fabini? I kind of thought Bill would make a play for him too, but not if he already re-signed.

On offense, Fabini is not on our team. And Smiley only plays Right Guard.

On Defense, I think Starks is a backup. The spots seem pretty open for competition. I think Holliday is a starter based on his high salary. Wright is a little heavier, though. We may cut or trade Holliday if some of these young guys work out. Merling competes on the d-line.

Porter moves inside, I think, next to Crowder.

Daniels passes Lehan on the depth chart... we probably sign another corner after the June 1st deadline. Maybe Surtain.

Ted Ginn is an electric player and we need him for the KR and PR... He can still be successful as receiver even if he is on the Special Teams!

Feel free to move things round guys, I keep editing and changing things.

Fabini - did not know he resigned - we need a vet backup OT

Ginn - will obviously be in the mix for KR/PR but we don't want him banged up

Roth - does he have a future in MIA?, I like the guy but he hasn't done it and is a bad fit in the 3-4 (unless he can play OLB)

Porter - do we think he'll go inside?, he struggled last year in a very similar position to that which he dominated in PITT, I think he'd struggle to pick up a brand new position

Smiley - Ireland said he might move to LG to help Murphy ease into the NFL at RG (interpret that as we don't want 2 rookies on the left)

Starks - I don't think we paid him to be a back-up, he starts

The great thing (on paper) is that the entire front front 3 and the backups are all interchangable and of course JT and Merling can drop in at end to mix things up.

would love to see Jayson Foster make it as a return specialist.

Not bad, but I also feel Holliday will be gone and Roth will be in there.

hey great call on jt for lito i would love that.
i also think bess will eventually overtake hagan, i realy do, im high on this kid, he is big, used to catching a lot of balls and can block very well down field. great complement. hey great work thanks

there is no way merling is gonna be a back up hell wither start opposite langford or at olb with taylor at DE

what id u say, i seriously didnt make out anything
u want jt to play a 3-4 de, are you kidding me
and merling at playing weight 270 ish is not a 3-4 end either. he will play olb as will jt if they both remain on this team
