I know I find myself parroting this phrase in many a thread. I stop to think that's probably a lot more complex and the differences from one to another are probably razor-thin in most cases.
I think Ireland was so bad that he gave every Dolfan the idea that this stuff is nowhere near as hard as Ireland made it out to be. I think Ireland proved that it actually is hard and that he was just not up to the task and that his ego was a major impediment to using sound football judgement and understanding the modern athlete.
As it relates to where Miami is now, though; anyone who believes strongly that they know what Miami is gonna do on draft day is an idiot (including Hickey, if he thinks he knows, but he is probably smart enough to know that he doesn't know). Also, the only way we're even gonna know anything by the end of training camp, as it relates to how good our draft was, is if our picks were terrible.
If our picks are good or even average, we won't probably know anything until mid-season and won't really know until 2016 (and that's assuming there are no hindering injury.
Having said this, I expect to go back to full, know-it-all blowhard status by draft day and well, everyday :)
