During the Wanny years.. I used to log on here and state all my concerns from what I saw during the pre-season games.. Mostly, they were negative comments raging from lack of control at the line of scrimmage to having horrible QB's...

For those observations.. I was read the riot act about how its only pre-season, it means nothing, we will gel together as a team before the first game.. and so on and so on..

Since it was pre-season and since we didnt have the facts about games not yet played... the only defense I could come up with was "If they cant do it at practice.. they sure as heck wont be able to do it during a real game"..

Today we have the benefit of hindsight and my concerns were legitimate.. look at the win/loss record for the last few years of the Wanny era..

This year, it seems we have the same comments being made as previous years.. People are coming on here to express their concerns and they are being bombarded with "ITs only pre-season", "The score means nothing", "you suck and arent a REAL FinFan" and etc..

For that, I say.. don’t be so closed minded.. maybe someone saw something you didnt and wanted to share it with all the members here.. Don’t get all defensive and point out that its only practice.. don’t tell them to take a chill pill.. don’t remind them the reg season win/loss record is still 0-0-0... and lastly don’t call them a Patsie fan in disguise..

They only wanted to share their observance with you all...!!!

Now personally speaking.. I was impressed with what I saw.. The first quarter of play had the Phins dominating on both sides of the ball.. The offense was able to control the line of scrimmage and move the ball with relative ease.. The defense held Jax to two 3 n outs..

What happened after the 1st quarter is really kinda irrelevant.. We got to see people play that probably wont be with the team after the roster cuts.. We got to see 2nd-3rd stringers play as a unit, instead of our 1st string players with the occasionally 2nd-3rd substitutions..

All in all, I was left with a good feeling after watching the practice game.. I saw more positives than I did negatives and for the first time ever.. I believe in Saban... I can now see the direction he is going with the team and for once... I believe the starting team played really well together and those few errors we did see... will be corrected in the next few weeks..

Its been only one practice game.. but I seen enough good things to say... Its going to be a good year to be a Dolphin fan... The 1st team you saw last night was pretty darn good.. and the best part is... its only going to get better...

nice speech my man ...... ur right bout all of it too ..... il give u props

Thanks for the time and effort Jeep...

IMO, this is the 1st time in a long searies of Pre-Season games that go back to pre- Wanny era that the starting units dominated their opponents, without game planning...

The O unit drove the team for points or in contention for points, in 3 out of 4 drives (2 missed FG)...

The D unit went and allowed only 13 plays in the 1st 4 drives to Jax. Then our 2nd and 3rd stringers shared time with some of our starters before Jax found the Endzone...

Well said man. There were good and bad things that happened yesterday but overall i did feel good about where saban is taking this team.

Way to keep an open mind and hopefully keep everyone on the same page without the millions of bashing comments.

THanks for your well thought out time! Go Fins in 06'
