It's more like are we talking about the Pennington of old, or the Pennington of now. I think he's made a remarkable turnaround. He's become a better player, I watched him in training camp, I've always been a huge fan of his, ever since his days in Marshall. I knew going into this season, Pennington was a new QB. All of the techniques and mechanics he's used in years prior to this one had been tweeked, his arm looked much stronger then before (not a lazer rocket arm, but stronger then he had been), and he was much sharper. The spirals were tighter, which gave the passes more zip. Having said all of that, someone from Miami's camp must have been watching Chad and knew he was going to give this team what it needed. Only he gave it more then anyone expected. I think this New Chad Pennington is better then the Brett Favre of now.
