I just to happen to glance at the box score of the Texans game.

Key word is glance but I thought that I noticed that we allowed 2 sacks in the game.

DID BIG JAKE GIVE UP 1 OR BOTH OF THEM OUT OF CURIOUSITY???
 
Williams did not get any of his two sacks over Jake Long. Jake did have help on a couple of occasions from Fasano when Mario was on his side but overall did pretty good.
 
Pretty damn impressive I mean Joe Thomas allowed what 1 or 2 tops last year and went to Hawaii???

So if he keeps it up HE'LL BE HAWAII BOUND ALONG WITH JOEY PORTER.
 
i've counted 1 sack and 2 qb hurries in two games while doing my work... (if my memory serves me right) ... the two coming against SD and NE... IMO, this is really good, considering the quality of the players he faced and the fact that he had little to no help in pass pro from RBs or TEs...
 
I know prior to the Texans game he had given up 2 sacks. I don't think he was reponsible for any last Sunday. The first sack Mario had he was playing LDE and I think it was Martin's fault. I'm not sure about the other one.
 
and he's hardly been penalized, which i think is just as impressive. Especially for a rookie. Jake is playing very well this season.

You are correct. He got by David Martin had him one on one and really didnt stand a chance since he got no help.

On the second sack he also came from the right side through Carey I think. However, to be completely honest the entire line got beat on that play. Every single one of them got pushed back into the pocket and collapsed around Pennington. This includes Long who had a stiff arm in his face the whole play.
 
He's had a couple of flags, resulting in what 20-30 yards? In at least two of the cases, they were petulant fouls to avoid giving up a sack.

Possibly worth considering...
 
If I remember correctly, Jake has only allowed two sacks this season, and one of them was a coverage sack where Chad held onto the ball too long. I think he has only had two penalties called as well, which is awesome for a rookie.
 
mario williams got matched up with david martin and burned him for one of them. i didnt notice who gave up the other.
 
As far as I know it's been just one sack and that was because Chad ran right into the guy Jake was blocking cause he was getting pressure from the other direction, I don't know where this second sack came from.

I saw Williams switch to the other side of the line the rest of the game it seemed. So it's like he was tired of facing Long :lol:.
