Wow...those guys played their TAILS off last night and especially on the left side with Long and Smiley, I have to say dayum...

For most of the night, those guys were down field into the 2nd level of the defense allowing ricky and ronnie to get 5-6 yards a carry and even more. Anyone see Smiley out there in space with that ricky screen?? The dude was 10 yards down the field and taking on people (albeit he wiffed nearly but he was trying to block a corner/safety).

Other than pro-bowler Jenkins throwing aside Thomas and Grove a few times, you have to LOVE how these guys have come together the past few weeks, especially in the running game.

Once Thomas gets into a rhythm and grove continues to mature with our line calls, there is no reason by week 8 or so that we are just a huge force to be reckoned with.

I didn't even see them get ONE sack last night. Wow...

People don't want to hear it early when a team is struggling but the Line NEEDED to gel . . . and that takes time. And honestly to come of age against the division rival JETS . . . that was great. No question, we potentially have the best running game in the league . . . best run blocking OLine, best running back tandem, and we have the wildcat. And to top it off, we have the QB that can keep a defense honest. This Fins team has alot of potential . . . for THIS SEASON. They just need to keep improving and get our defense to gel, especially in the back.

I agree but I want to see more out of Thomas and Carey. Allowing Jenkins (albeit he is a probowler) to throw DT and JG to the side, is something they need to fix.

Outside of that, I am pretty happy with our offense last night. I am not that thrilled with our secondary and linebackers last night. It appeared our pass rush only came from our ends and our secondary needs to get some swagger. It should be expected though when you turn over players like we did last year.

Yea I mean Kris blew them up a couple times, but for the most part the OLine held him in check, I mean seriously he is one of the top 3 NT's in the game (Ngata and Wilfork are the other 2) and Grove held his own.

The Line has gelled rather quick, and they still have room for improvment. But you are correct, we have gotta see that secondary gel before we can assume greatt hings this season. They are getting better, and when you don't get the pressure you want, it will be tuff with this quarters coverage they are running, but they are getting better every game. Sanchez really made some big time throws last night, but the secondary was better than some people probably are thinking.
