Big shock, dolphins losers in free agency

The only example is b/c Flynn signed in Seattle? Based on the thoughts of most of this board, the Dolphins moving on from Flynn is a good thing.

Exactly. Mike Florio says we are a loser so we are? Because we did not spend big money on a QB? If we had signed Flynn, Florio would call us desperate. The Eagles are big winners, for what? Overpaying for a player that dogged it last year, is a headache, and is injury prone. The Eagles were big winners last year too, how did that work out? The Bills? For spending huge amounts of money on an often injured D end? I am as perplexed as anyone about QB, but if Philbin didn't think enough of Flynn to go all in, then I am ok with that. If we would have spent big money on Winston, people would freak about the amount of money we have tied up in the O line.

How many times have we been winners in Free Agency only to come up short . . . one mans perception doesn't dictate a season. Signing a bunch of big names means you haven't developed your own guys and you'll end up in salary cap hell sooner than later. Miami is ok right now and we'll no more as free agency continues and the draft rolls around.

Speaking as someone who was intrigued by Matt Flynn and who hoped we could bring him in, I have to ask:

What's the fascination? Yeah, the guy could turn out to be good, but he's a huge unknown at this point to just about everyone but Joe Philbin. Why are we suddenly the laughingstock of the league for not signing him? You saw the contract he took with Seattle. If we wanted him to be the Dolphins QB, he would be the Dolphins QB.

I can't believe I'm stuck in the position of defending the Dolphins FO. I really can't believe this. In my gut, I want to bash them more than anyone.

Guess we'll see Washington in the Superbowl along with someone like the Chiefs. They're always the offseason/FA winners a lot of times.

Matt Cassell? They won big there, anyone remember that circus? Usually the teams that "win" in the offsesaon suck during the season. So it seems...
