I'd probably go with Bryan Cox ... but both Sam Madison and Terrell Buckley were right up there. Buckley wasn't the best cover CB, but he always produced a lot of takeaways, and he let the receiver know it.

An honorable mention is probably deserved for Zach Thomas too. He had a different kind of trash talking. He didn't trash talk before the play, he trash talked after he made the play.

While he was not known as a player who did any trash talking in the media the way Cox did, Ndamukong Suh is frequently listed as one of the biggest trash talker in NFL history. He seemed to be more low key when he played with the Dolphins but he certainly was known as a big trash talker when he played on the Lions.

This is who I had in mind. I hear one time he was talking so much smack that Hugh Green pinned him up against a locker and beat his arz.
I hadn't heard that story, but it wouldn't surprise me. He got under Shula's skin pretty quick. Traded after his one season, 1990.
