Bills bring in top FAs to shape up defense
Donahoe lamented: "We have to get more balanced. If you look at us on the stat sheet, we had a quarterback pass for (a team-record 4,359) yards and a running back run for (1,438) yards … yet we have to get more consistent. If we can play better defense we'll be a very productive team."

They copied the Raiders style last year, add help to each level d with vets, remans to be seen if such will work. See how TKO responds to the other great lb Fletcher, maybe a stay-at home and smart Fletch lets Soikes realise his full pass rush potential...

Wow am i glad everyone is following the TOS here!

Well the defense did show up at the scrimmage yesterday.. as you may already know, each team ran five offensive series of 10 plays starting from their own 30 yard line. Each offense then ran three plays on the 20 yard line, followed by three plays from the two. Our starting D (played just the first defensive series) didn't allow a single score in that span.. not even on the 3 tries from the 2 yard line... thats a huge improvement to our D from last year that couldn't stop anyone. Im really excited about our defense this year and cant wait to see their last 2 preseason games (St.Louis and Detroit). Those games will show us how good our D really is...

the AFCE is deffinately stacked this season :D

We also cuased TURNOVERS. Something we need to improve on. They have been coming a lot this year. The D had 5 picks one practice.

How is Adams being used? he isnt fast enough to play de, and one guy at nose can get worn down as well, his best fit was DT with help alongside him.

Fletch (the Bills best position player in the front seven) is the key, his play will keep the new players on the same page (older vets will be fine there anyways).
Keeping Takeo healthy. What this fan sees for Dolphins upgrades is at the db and lb, the Bills upgrades were in front seven for purpose of runstopping.

The Bills stratagey should work more than ever vs team with standard sets (2 wr ) and the Dolphins make that their main mode of operation, as do the Jets.

Spread teams like Buffalo and Pats may be the advantageous teams. Although the Dolphins clearly have the speed to match the spread on their D.
The Jets cover 2 and the Phins base cover sets, along with upgraded Bills, will be hard for straightforward power styles to defeat, the pats need to show that their d can still make that stop on the edge and between the tackles. Two rook dt should help.

Final note: most of Bills D is young, despite mistakes they should stand wear and tear easily in comparison to Jets lb (Cowart and lewis get banged up a lot) and Seau. But injuries are always unkown and shouldnt bear in mind with the depth you have on D. Jets may have to face that issue though...

He's been used as a DT. His presence has commanded double teams which has kept Pat williams and Fletcher free. Saw Pat zero in at the qb a few times. A sight to behold. Fletch on the other hand has been able to stop rb's behind the line of scrimmage. I know it's only camp and scrimmage and never put any value to it. So far so good though.

So are you implying Fiedler's practice game against the Titans was a fluke? Take it with a grain of salt Prime Time.

How's your game (soccer) coming along? I'll be waiting for those free tickets when you turn pro. ;)
