All we need to do to win this game is run the ball.Their two best lbs are out and we can run it on them all day.On defense we need to stop the run.I dont think holcombe will be a big threat. What r ur stategies?

Offense- Run because thyre rush D seems to be suckin a**. Try not to throw it that much cuz the jills have a good secnondary

Defense- Stop Willis, thyre passin scares me a little too, holcomb may not be that great, but Evans and Moulds can catch and with our secondary, they might make big plays.

We just need to play Miami Dolphins football. Aggressive defense and smart offense. If we don’t turn the ball over to many times we will win by double digits.

Holcombe will make a mistake if we continue to go after him. We have to stop mcgahee of course, but anyone can tell you that. We can't allow moulds to have a good game against us, i've never believed he was a great receiver, but he does seem to overacheive against us. On offense, go right at their hearts. Up the middle all day long.

since when did the bills ever use a strategy...they just go out and hand it to willis mcgahee and let him do it. When that fails against the fins D they'll have to relie on the arm of Holcombe which can be very scary

I just want the Dolphins to score more points than the Bills.

Obviously, we need to establish the run. But I think their pass defense might be a little over-rated. Teams haven't HAD to pass on them to win BECAUSE of the success running against them. Their pass defense is ranked #1, but they aren't THAT good. Not saying they are bad, but that ranking is a little inflated. It's obvious the Bills will expect us to try to run on them. We also know that our O-line hasn't exactly been dominant in the running game this season. So we HAVE to establish balance. I think we need to attack them early in the air - go deep a few times to get them to back off. This will take some of the pressure of the O-line and should open bigger running lanes for our backs.
Defensively, it's pretty simple: GET PRESSURE WITH THE FRONT FOUR. Holcomb is immobile. We have to get in his face. If we have to blitz alot, we are going to free up some very good, very fast recievers. We could give up some big plays in the passing game. Granted, there is no doubt we will blitz. But I think they will be well timed blitzes designed to confuse a rusty, immobile, and extremely average Holcomb. But we need to see JT and Bowens and company get to the QB consistently. Not necassarily sacks - just consistent pressure.
If we don't get pressure, we better hope Holcomb doesn't get into one of his rare rythms where he plays very good and throws for a ton of yardage. Given the situation in our secondary, we can't afford to let the game rest on how good or bad our secondary plays.

All that said, I think Miami wins the game. We'll have a good, balanced game offensively and a dominant defensive performance.

Actually the problem with the Bills has been that they have not been giving the ball to McGahee enough. I would run the ball, and not even worry about the passing game, I don't even see the need to take shots downfield, if a team is bad against the run, it seems obvious to me that you run the ball. I would also punt every ball out of bounds, and squib most kicks, letting McGee/Clements/Smith return kicks and punts would be foolish for the phins.

One question: Why is everyone saying London Fletcher is out? I thought he was healthy...?

What is our offensive weakness? Seems to be run blocking. It looked better against Carolina. It was BETTER. But the numbers were inflated by the long run. We have to pass the ball. Obviously, running well will be a priority. But we can't rest the outcome of the game on running only. We have to take SOME pressure off of our offensive line by keeping the Bills defense honest.

I think the offensive weakness has been the accuracy of the Qb. Passing against a very good secondary when a team can run against a terrible run defense does not seem like a great strategy. I'm not saying the team should run the ball everydown, but I don't think throwing the ball 30 times is a smart strategy either. I don't get the idea of attacking a team where they are good, when the team can attack them where they are weak.

We need to be balanced. Accuracy has been a problem, but where have ALL but TWO of the big plays come from? One long reverse and one long run by Ronnie have been all the big plays in the running game. We can't expect to win without being balanced. Buffalo will expect us to try to run on them. And we will. But because they will be looking to stop our running game, we have to pass the ball also. The running strategy that you are talking about is the Wannstedt philosophy. We saw where that got us. It takes balance to win in the NFL consistently.

Fins:

Offense: The Bills have weak run D so expect to see the Fins pound the ball with Ronnie. This should open up the passing game, hopefully they should make some smart plays this way.

Defense: stop Willis this is a must, and pressure Holcomb.

run the ball. stop the run. dont turn it over. the same 3 things echoed by every coach in the nfl except for martz lol
